Yeah and as I just stated earlier, we should just say "dude, no". He signed an extension just year ago, with a pretty good salary. There's 3 years left of his deal. If he wants to go elsewhere for a better salary, present the club an offer from that club willing to pay to you. An offer which is adequate according to that salary request. Ie. if Bayern is ready to pay 8m + bonuses net, the price they'll pay to us needs to reflect that. The contract situation is something which won't play a part here, it won't lower the price of the player.
Yes that's the common logic but we can't keep unhappy players. The performance is affected by factors off the field. Remember Lautaro pre-contract form...

He can just run half-ass until he is "motivated" again.

So had Hakan made that request, rejected or not, we shouldn't label him as non-transferable anymore.

Of course not and he's not non-transferable. Non-transferable is just a marketing gimmick by the club.

But we can't sell him if Bayern offers us 30m + bonuses. I wouldn't sell him for 40m + bonuses either because there's a lot of years left in his deal.

Wonder if there are any potential swaps to pad it a little?

Zubimendi would be a great option, but I have a feeling the management will take a pure DM if Haka leaves.

Yeah. So is the logic here that as he got the best midfielder award and Scudetto, he should be awarded with an improved salary? Not gonna cut it.

Or is it just because Bayern offered that better salary? I think we just call his bluff. Or give him (the agent) an opportunity to present proper offer from Bayern. Otherwise, you stay and play, there's plenty of years left in your deal.

Per Bild, Fulham wants 70M for Palhinha and Bayern dont wanna go over 50M, so thats where Calhanoglu comes into play.

I really hope our management do not waste too much time in useless negotiations. If he wants bigger salary or to leave, just sell him for a fee 40-50mln , and do not lose precious time to ask for excessive figures like 70mln, which Bayern won't clearly pay.
Then arrange a replacement quickly enough. I don't know Thuram's brother, but it will be nice to snatch somebody under the Jube's nose.
I would prefer Koopmeiners despite being a different type of a player, especially if we can insert some youngster in the deal.

yeap, this better be resolved quicky... I don't wanna see us getting a new player 1 or 2 weeks before the season starts.

Koopmeiners is not gonna be an option, as Atalanta want 60M.... There's not really that many great DM options, but for a regular CM theres lots of options... Now, does Inzaghi want a DM, or can he work without it, thats another question.

There was a rumor that Jube will offer 30mln cash + a player.
If we can offer same, I won't mind but depends if course.
I just hope do not end up with Amrabat as a main replacement.

Not yet still very raw.
Needs more playing time.
Also needs strength training

Well, he knows how our tactics work and is already adapted, and he already has all the necessary skills for this position, plus the Albanian national team is playing well in this Euro. In competition, we can buy one of the two Samuele Ricci or Nicolò Rovella

Don't have one.

I don't know what people see in koopemeiners tbh, probably just goals... For me, he screams failure outside of atalanta system, plus we all know what midfielders inzaghi prefers. Koopemeiners when I watched atalanta looked kinda stiff around the middle of the pitch, he gets useful only when he is close to the box. Imo ederson is the one that keeps that midfield together, would rather we go for him.

AC Milan's Hakan Calhanoglu Says He 'Wouldn't Say No' to Bayern Munich

20 November 2019

AC Milan winger Hakan Calhanoglu has said it is his goal to play for Bayern Munich or Borussia Dortmund one day.

The German-born Turkey international joined Milan in July 2017 for €20 million.

He had previously spent his entire senior career playing in Germany for Karlsruher, Hamburg and Bayer Leverkusen.

Calhanoglu, 25, turned down a move to Bayern back in 2014, but he has said if the German champions came knocking now, he would not be able to resist, per Sport Bild (h/t Football Italia):

"I grew up in Germany, but I like talking to people in Italian. From a sporting point of view, of course it is a goal to play for Bayern Munich or Borussia Dortmund or another big German team.

"It was important that they [Bayern] looked at me. But at that time they had Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery who were guaranteed starters, who were also loved by the fans. It was difficult to say no. But if at some point in the future Bayern came back in for me, I wouldn't say no
."

Robben and Ribery both departed Bayern at the end of last season, leaving big boots to fill on the flanks at the Allianz Arena.

Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry have stepped up impressively in 2019-20, particularly the latter:

It is clear, though, that Calhanoglu would be open to the switch.

His return of 11 goals and 14 assists in 79 Serie A appearances is unspectacular but decent in the context of a struggling Milan side.

In a more prosperous environment like Bayern, Calhanoglu could flourish, and come next summer, he will only have a year remaining on his Milan contract.

Obviously. Who wouldn't want to leave Milan?

He needed more playing time last season than I would have felt more comfortable with a direct replacement...

It's a shame he was not used more...

😆😆🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Unfortunately, Bayern is enticing in many ways for players and more for Calhan. Lets just hope that this saga ends soon.

Yep the cheap alternative, unfortunately for them we seem to have exactly the same valuation…

Bayern is cheap, just pay it, you can afford it and everyone knows it
