I hope its a trend, not a phase. His past would suggest its more of a phase, he alternates between good and poor phases quite frequently.

Yeah he lacks the athleticism and trickery to create his own shot. But he has one of the best shooting techniques out there in terms of technique/power/accuracy. I think with confidence and more game time we'll see some of it.

normally Turkish people are proud with their players, but Conan is probably too demanding. As an Inter fan I expect him to perform even better. Want himt to score from a direct freekick

He needs to shoot more often, he often gets in that position where he receives the ball just behind the opponent's defensive mid with nobody to stop him He has everything it takes to score from that distance.

Can't say anything but he is doing as good as I could hope for this past few games. It's hard to say if he'll continue like this, but as long as Vidal and Sensi are not injured, our midfield will be okay no matter who of my top5 choices play.

Gags looked a lot better with Conte, he seems too slow, especially his passing in transition, all of the other players know what they are doing except for him... but Calha is really being a player that plays good in this system

To be fair he is 27 so we are actually getting him for his prime years. Perhaps he will show a bit more consistency at this point in his career versus his early 20s.

IMHO I don't think any of our midfielders have exceptional defensive skills, probably except Vidal, but the one of key difference between Barella and Broz from the rest of our midfielders in defending, is the distance they covered and the hustling, which can make up for a lot of things such as strength, positioning and tackle accuracy, unless those attributes are horrendous to start off with. (This only applies to midfielders though, so don't bring up some CB examples, also I am not saying Barella and Broz are bad at those things)

Back to the "to create his own shot." thing, I think simple passing and off ball movement can do it, especially his first touch is pretty good, but I guess it won't be creating his OWN then, still we can utilize his shooting ability through that.
