Heard his renewal is close, MASSIVE player for us, don't be a cheap bastard and give him the fucking 6m he wants.

Man was born to be a regista apparently. Good job Inzaghi for reinventing the guy

To me, this is a Spalletti - Brozovic/Conte - Lukaku bit of work. This guy was NEVER this good or this consistent. Props to Simone.
It really is. I have been following the guy since his HSV days. He had never played as a regista before. Never. He started as a #10. He played as mezzala, winger, even SS. Simone uses him in front of defence for the first time ever in his career and you feel like he's been playing in the position for years.

We honestly need two or three Hakans. Had his clones played over Barella and Mkhitaryan, we would have sealed it 4-0.

As happy as I'm with his performance I'm afraid of giving him more than €5m net which is what he's currently on. I just don't want us to lose assets like Barella & Bastoni down the road because of running out of wiggle room in the wage budget.

I think the rumored renewal is something like 5.5mil a season. Really not swinging the needle too hard in regards to keeping other talents.

Sorry but that's just too much. We shouldn't be giving these contracts without growth decree.

The first coach who tried to use him as a regista was Şenol Güneş in Turkish NT and Hakan was horrible...beyond horrible. He and Güneş got the entire Turkish football fans hate for this reason.

This was the main reason why I hated Hakan in the first place. I have to admit that the only thing I can sympathize with Inzaghi is how he turned Hakan into a good regista.

It's only a few games but whenever I've seen Turkey play they've been atrocious. It's hard to stand out in such a disorganized team.

CALHANOGLU DROPS INTER TRANSFER HINT FOR BARCELONA MIDFIELDER KESSIÉ
The Ivory Coast international, a former Milan midfielder, has been linked with a move to the Stadio Meazza at the end of the season.
Inter have somehow managed to replace Marcelo Brozovic with Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Calhanoglu, who has released an interview with Gazzetta discussing, among other things, the future of Kessié, one of his former teammates at Milan.

“He is a friend and a top player and here champions are always welcome,” said the Turkey international.
“We speak a lot, it’s true. He plays for a big club, but he knows Inter are the same.”

Calhanoglu joined the Nerazzurri as a free agent from Milan in 2021, replacing Christian Eriksen after the Dane’s dramatic incident during Euro 2020.

The former Rossoneri star admits Inter fans were sceptical about his signing at the beginning, but they soon started to love him.
“Of course, they had doubts at the beginning. It wasn’t easy to replace a great player like Eriksen coming from Milan,” he said.
“But I was sure that things would change and that fans would appreciate me. The love has been spontaneous, with no need for theatrical gestures. It came up slowly, without a real spark.”

Kessié also left Milan at the end of his contract, joining Barcelona as a free agent in the summer of 2022.
Calhanoglu, 29, has three goals and six assists in 32 appearances across all competitions this season.
