This gives me kolorov vibes
More like Dzeko vibes for me. He will be useful in some matches but i have very low expectations of him to perform throughout the season. At least he isn't coming as a starter.

Don't have one.
He never struck me as a pure cmf, more like amf or second striker. I didn't watch roma that much, I'm presuming he is coming to be vice hakan or barella?

Btw I just checked where he stands in km covered during the season, and he was in top 15 there, a list in which brozo is first, so at least he could be useful there in comparison to someone like vidal who I always felt emptied his tank fairly quickly.

Mikhy is a sub to starter Hakan. 5g 9a.

They are probably targeting one for Barella too.

Im betting DePaul rumours will pop up again.

Let's see how this pan out.
First of all, we have already an established midfield. What we need is the 4th choice who could be starter every 3 games and let other senators rest. If Inzaghi manage his minutes carefully (I think something like 50-60m/game witha few out games) he could be useful and could held him in good shape throughout the year. He is better than Vecino and that version of Vidal.

I don't get the drama and comparisons with Vidal who had double wages that Mikhi will have. We need someone who will not make problems by not playing regular or starting every game + he can pass, dribble, shoot and can still give solid contribution.

Ok, sigh, hope he's as useful as Darmian turned out to be, preinjury.

The drama is that we are committing the exact same mistake as Vidal - offering big wages on an extended contract to an old, diminishing player.

Everything about this transfer is just wrong. Mkhitaryan started playing CM this season out of necessity and he was OK for the most part. Roma know what they're going to get with him, and for a club of their ambitions, the level he'll provide is valuable enough for them to offer a 1 year extension at €3m.

For a club of our supposed ambitions, to offer a TWO year deal at €3.5m (plus bonuses) PLUS a 2m commission or signing bonus, is just a bad joke. Everyone knows our financial situation, but if anything, that should compel us to do more Asslani-type moves: promising players who have a chance of delivering a return on the investment by developing into a good player that we can use or sell for profit. Mkhitaryan has no chance of the latter.

This transfer is an €18m operation over 2 years. We are voluntarily choosing to overpay for the safety of a mediocre player to avoid the risk of a younger player not working out. Speaks volumes as to what is chronically wrong with this club.
