Miki in not some washed up and average player. For 3.5 mil a year, without transfer fee is a good deal to get an experienced offensive midfielder even at 33. The only reason he played central midfield this year, because Mou likes him to play a bit more defensive. In any case, good luck to him. He can connect well with forwards and create things out of nothing. With the crazy transfer market prizes these days, you guys complain about 3,5 mil a year and free transfer?:)
And injury is nothing, it's thigh muscle injury, he just came too early for the final. You guys will see that he would be beneficial to the team, especially Vidal and Sanchez are out.

Don't really know about this one. His numbers this year are looking good. But he's old, and we will probably look to golden handshake him next year. But we do need some rotational options for our midfield, and we don't really have money to buy 2 or 3 new mids. 3.5 mil a year don't seem like something insurmountable, would be nice to give him a 1-year contract plus an option for another year tho.

Current midfield can be considered:

Brozo
Barella
Chala
----
Mihitarian
Gags

If we don't get a decent midfielder to sub Vidal, this Mihitarian guy will play plenty of minutes, that's basicallly like a starter or player number 13 /12.
Even if he does a good job we still hv a problem in the midfield.

If you're wondering why we're always stuck with financial troubles and forced to sell our best players, here's why..

If I can put my 2 cents on him. I think he really likes to compete for championship, since there is no chance it with Roma. He never won a championship outside of Ukraine, always 2nd in Dortmund, 2nd in MAN U and EL. No title with Roma or Arsenal. So this is his last chance to get a championship and he will perform. He can even fill Perisic spot sometimes, since he did that position under Tuchel, Wenger and Mou for while. Not saying he will overtake the youngster for starting spot, but he would be good rotational player in that midfield, with good eye for cross and final pass. True, he does not score as much as his used too, but his connectivity with forwards is still there. I mean, why would he stay in Roma. You saw how bad they were against Feyenoord. Abraham is not an elite forward. Zaniolo is a selfish kid and Mou wants him to play defensive midfield. I would not stay there one minute longer.

To be honest 2 years isn’t a bad deal. He can play cover for Calhanoglu as a player who offers attacking output. With his minutes being restricted we can get a lot out of him in 2 years.

I don't quite get how the Growth Decree could work with Mhki as he's already at Italy. I guess GdS reporter has just mistaken there. But it's def better if the base salary is 2.8m net and bonuse gets the salary to 3.5m. Also if the termination clause after one year is real, that sounds good. Risk mitigation.

Don't have one.

Our nonexistent owners are the reason, this transfer is literally a product of that, aka we are in debt we don't have money to spend on transfer fees.

Our only criterion for bringing players right now is that the player is at the end of his contract, somewhat experienced, so he can have immediate impact and that he plays a position which we need to cover. Otherwise, we would probably have money to strengthen maybe only one position.

I don't agree with this strategy, I think we need total reset given our debt, but they are desperately trying to keep our heads above water and keep us from drowning, at least for one year more, so I understand it.

yea. As a bench option he will do fine. He's also not finished. I seen a lot of people saying he's like Kolarov, which is not true at all. Mkhitaryn has been pretty solid this season and he was also very good on defense, which is a surprise cause he never really had to play it in the past. This would also finally be a guy that comes of the bench and you're not pissed as fuck, cause u expect him to mess everything up, ala Vecino, Gags or Vidal.
My only problem with him is his salary, other than that I think he's a great addition to the team.

I am actually surprise people hate this transfer that much.
In terms of transfers, I think we can generally group to a few types (not going to exhaust the list though)
1) hidden gem, you pay lower than the true value and is already inter material at a general prime age (Motta, Barrella)
2) splashing cash getting the WC player ( Ronaldo)
3)Buying wonderkids that might or might not work out
4)low/no transfer fee with high wages for older players

I think most people are hoping for 1 & 3 since 2 is just unrealistic, but 1 can turn into Vencino and Gag, 3 can turn into Laxalt.

The thing to me is I understand the potential resale value of the first 3, but it can also lead to a bigger lost, so the way I see 4 is if they come here and do the job, add some value that is just some expense you have to pay, not an investment.

I think our targets are quite diversified, there youngsters and prime(dyballa), and hopeful useful right away but older.

Ideally if inter has the money, it would be only 2, like we brought in Lukaku and hakimi, but given our budget, it is acceptable, as long as it has nothing to sell our current core players.

P.S. I understand that if they are finished it would be like Kolarov, but it seems like he still has at least 1-2 year left in him.
