Regardless of if he retires or not, this should push management to prioritize his replacement. Zielinski/Mikhi can maybe cover for one more season but we need to find his replacement sooner than later.
I think the whole club knows that. We identified Paz as the right fit, but he seems not possible. I think looking towards german clubs might help in finding cheaper options that are also good.

We keep talking about his replacement and how every year he will be benched by the newcomers.
But how the fuck is he capable of playing game after game and cover so much ground at his age! He has lungs of steel. His time will come someday, but not today. I won`t be surprised if he will be the same Mikhi next year.
He needs to stay. Also Acerbi and Darmian. And in the meantime please find adequate replacements.

I hope he wins us the treble and retire. Absolute legend and role model. The sort of old-nut-gold players like Zanetti, Cordoba, Acerbi and Mkhitaryan is what make this team special.

He is special. At his age he literally plays almost every game in very demanding role , covers so much ground shows amazing character and example. I hope he stays at least another year since he can teach and guide the new generation and he is so versatile that he can play any role in the midfield and attack.
Grande Miki!

You are describing Kovačić.
I would say he is close, but not exactly there, one main difference is Kovačić relies a bit more on beating his men, while Mihki is more towards dribbling at the right time.
The results are slightly difference as well because of that, like Mhki would make the team more lively, while Kovačić could dribble us out of some trouble, even they both do both. Just my 2 cents.

It would be a waste if this dude didn't become a coach. Big brained
We used to say the same about Cuchu.
The way he trains, eats, lives is just different, has to be, the activity Barella generates is insane, but having Mkhi run as much while being way older is nuts to me.

We played better with him on the pitch. Zalewski was impactful aswell, but Mkhi's presence in midfield has no competition, unfortunately.

There's still an evident decline on his game though. But he's still so productive and difficult to be outplayed from starting line-up. Just goes to show how important he is to Inzaghi's football.
Well said, Inzaghi will probably want him on the squad for one more season based on how he still delivers like a well oiled machine

He said adrenaline helps, here's the full interview where he touched upon the possibility of retiring:

Indeed, he’s part of the ‘veterans’ alongside Francesco Acerbi, Matteo Darmian, and Yann Sommer.
“We always bring something extra, we’re giving our all to help the team,” he stated.

“And we’re trying everything, and as you said, it could be our last chance.

“We’ll see tomorrow if we can make it or not.”

Then, he shockingly admitted he could hang up his boots at the end of the season.
“It’s one of the toughest seasons because it’s mid-April and we’re still competing on three fronts,” Mkhitaryan revealed.

“But it’s also a joy to fight for all these objectives. I’m very happy to have reached this moment in my career because it may not come again.

Maybe I have 1–2 years left to play, or maybe I’ll stop at the end of this season.

“I’m very happy here, to play for this club and to be achieving what we are.”

Meanwhile, he commented on his earlier statement, admitting he still considers Inter ‘unplayable.’
“What I said was two months ago, but of course the headlines came out immediately. That’s fine, no problem.

“It was my opinion at the time – from the inside, I see how hard my teammates work, how much they sweat for the shirt.

“I still stand by what I said – we’re an incredibly strong team, and that’s why we’re still fighting on three fronts.

We want to go as far as possible, this season can give us a lot.”
💪🏻

Michael Olise has enjoyed a superb maiden season at the Allianz Arena.
Despite failing to score against Inter, he gave Inzaghi’s defenders a run for their money.

“Olise is very strong, but it’s not just him, the whole team is good,” Mkhitaryan stated.

“He impressed me, I’ve followed him at Crystal Palace. He’s fast and playing fantastic football.

“We can’t let him play as well as he did in the first leg.”
Olise looked incredibly comfortable on the ball from the stands

Asked whether he views Inter as pre-match favorites, the Armenian replied: “We’re not thinking about the first leg. That was a week ago.

“We’re starting from 0–0, both teams can win.

“We have to play at our best and try to win the match in front of our fans, who give us a huge boost.”

Furthermore, he admitted he expects another evenly contested game.

“We’ll focus on ourselves, not Bayern. We’re playing at home, and we know they’ll come here to win, just like us.

“It won’t be an easy game, but we’re ready.”
Guys were confident and you could see this on the pitch
Finally, he explained how adrenaline helps elite athletes overcome fatigue.

It’s more enjoyable to play every three days.

“Especially in every competition, it gives us great strength and motivation to keep going.

“We play every game like it’s our last, like it’s a final.”
What a baller! Grazie Roma.

That suspension might as well have been a 2 week sun holiday for Mhiki, he's going to sprint like a madman the rest of the season to make up for it. He can't retire this summer.

His goal should have stood! And he had a good performance.
No it shouldn't have. Worse cases were ruled out for offside. Yeah it's annoying when goals get ruled out like this, but it is what it is.

At 36, he’s one of our least-rested players, still running till the final whistle while others give up — and people still shit on him. Week in, week out, he puts in proper 90-minute shifts. Criminally underappreciated.

Only thing that pisses me off is that he scored the offside goal while missing everything that would count with terrible shooting the last couple of months...

Anyways still a great game by him its almost surreal how good he still is....

Have to give a shout-out to my boy again.

Gave the through-ball for Lautaro’s penalty.
Marshalled Yamal as well as one can
Had the highest pass completion on the team (85%) for reference - Barella had 50% and Hakan was in the 60s
Completed the most tackles out of everyone on the pitch. 5 tackles: two higher than the next best (and in the most crucial areas)

I do not see Paz or Guler being this disciplined to replace him. There must be somebody else we could look into.
