I'm from the U.S. (as you can tell by the name).

I was looking around Google, and I found this site. I like Inter Milan and talking Footie so I joined. Recently bought a retro Inter jersey so my Inter fever as at an all-time high ;)

I support the Chicago Fire (hometown), Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan.

I'm also a big fan of pro-wrestling. My all-time favorite is The Undertaker, but my current active favorite is Neville. I watch a lot of wrestling and run my own wrestling forum.

Hope to have some fun, and talk about Inter with the lads.

hi and welcome! yeah, your username kind of gives away where you are from. :eek:blivious: i was about to write that there are quite a few wwe fans in this forum, too, but i see you have already helped yourself to the thread.

so, who's your favourite Inter player if you have one?

by the way, guess this is the right moment to join the forum as this season is really promising.

Yeah, I saw the WWE thread while viewing this forum before joining haha.

I'm kinda split on who I'd consider my favorite player.

Simeone, but he did fairly little for Inter during his time at the club. Pirlo, but he was basically non-existent while there. Zanetti, but that's so stereotypical haha. I like Miranda, but more because of his time at Atletico than at Inter. So I guess i'm undecided but will have Simeone as a place-holder.

And this season is definitely going to be a really fun. Glad the race is between two different clubs. Inter and Napoli have been in that "wounded animal" phase for a while now, and seeing them oust Juventus is going to be hella fun to watch. Just hope they don't choke.

Hmm not sure what's more fake WWE or Juves' title wins.

Welcome, mate.

WWE may be fake, but at least it's kind of fun. Juventus' titles are not even that.

For a second there I thought I used the apostrophe sign incorrectly and as a nerd it hurt my extremely small ego. Glad Quantum dispelled my fears but then again me and him are both not native speakers (even though I'd say the Brazilian, amazingly, is easily the best non-native English writer in FIF), unlike America (who used the sign differently), so it's not guaranteed that the usage was correct but it's also quite funny if it is.

I tend to write random gibberish so no need to give any attention to what I just wrote, it's just in my nature to concentrate on silly little details. Anyway, welcome aboard America.

To be perfectly honest, I was drowned in doubts and thought about not welcoming America at all, just because I was afraid of using it wrong. I did my best to remember those classes about apostrophes, but then again, Javier'sSon comes from the Holy See, so he has Papal Infallibility on his side.

:alone:

It's not like it's been my profession for 5 years or anything :eek:kay:

And for the record, because Juventus is a proper noun, there are different conventions as to how to use the possessive apostrophe. My advice is to choose one and be consistent.

Anyway. Welcome to FIF, America!

You just made me feel slightly better as I have never had any proper teachings to the language (self-taught you could say) and I'd like to think I'm decent at it. I assumed you being Brazilian had a similar background because I know the education there rivals what Saudi offers when it comes to how bad the learning experience is when it comes to English (and perhaps other areas).

Haha you've completely slipped under my radar. I guess because you rarely write long, non-sarcastic, football-related posts is the reason (not that it takes anything anyway from ya). But yeah no doubt you're up there. So writing it how America did is also considered correct?

Grammar Nazis in full force boys, yay.

Yes, correct usage all round.

The only 's which is always wrong is that where people use it to form plurals (e.g. We bought so many shit player's over the years). I've been petitioning the mods to make it a ban-worthy offence, but no luck so far.

P.S. You're right, I mostly post one-liners. :yao:

welcome bro! as another inter fan based near Chicago - glad to have you here. Need more inter fans here in the states, esp in the Midwest.

Haha, probably. I've met a few people online that are scary close to me. Met a guy on another forum that lived 5 minutes from my house.
