Van der Meyde got benched because Zac prefers to play 3-4-3 and there is no place for an out-and-out attacking winger in that formation. Plus Helveg is Zac's little pet there so he bascially rules the right side.

I watch plenty of Dutch league and Van der Vaart is pure class! He'll cause hovac on the opponent's defense with his inter-changable role with Recoba on the left.
