I think this game infuriated me so much because I believe that we have the best squad in the league, still (Handa aside). We absolutely are title favourites IMO, and to see games like today so full of mistakes and missed opportunities is so frustrating.

Dumfries has gotta be starting games by the way. Darmian has definitely made me rethink my stance towards him, but we've got no pace and Denzel needs to be on the pitch.

Perisic is honestly surprising me with his attitude, well impressed.

We're going the way of an Atalanta at this point, or more aptly Inzaghi's Lazio - a team which scores a ton but can't defend for shit.

IIRC Inzagay's Lazio had one of the best defenses the year they challenged for the title till the CoVid break.I recall the 2-1 defeat we suffered at the Olimpico in early Feb and they thoroughly throttled our attack and we hardly created any chances.Acerbi was being hailed as the best defender in the league and the reason why they were challenging for the title.Then CoVid hit and Lazio conceded goals at will.And continued doing so last year as well.

This does not bode well for us because it means Inzaghi won't be course correcting here and that may be because he does not know how to.But he needs to realise that only a tight defense can challenge for the Scudetto.

i am just watching replay. dzeko was not bad ar all lautaro on 61st inute misses the open goal then dzeko on 67 th minute give hi through ball on right side he hits it in first try even he had no chance to score lol and ball was 3 meters wide or more. lautaro wasted so many chances in this gae

The worst we’ve played under Inzaghi so far. Our defense is worrying to say the least. The personnel isn’t the issue as much as the system itself— it’s like we’re playing Conte’s retarded 3412 right now.

That being said. We still had a chance to win this game despite not deserving to whatsoever. I think Inzaghi has earned some patience but we need to get the tactics right because right now we’re just begging to be pressed into submission.

Dzeko with a real shit stain of a performance in that 1st half. Couldn’t control the ball worth shit. Misplaced, awful passes. We need to stop playing this guy 90 minutes every game. Fatigue is a real thing Simone.

Also our defense needs to be tightened the fuck up. It’s becoming embarrassing. Atalanta could have had 5 or 6 goals with how much space we were giving them. Brozo is gonna be dead from exhaustion by January if he has to run this much every game.

And Hakan? Like Uni said, a waste of €5m a season. He’ll inevitably put in some good performances down the line but then he’ll put in 4 shockers in a row. Milanisti weren’t wrong about this potato.

Agree with this. Dzeko was below par yesterday. Not only wasted chances but also made lot of wrong passes yesterday. I think the issues are because he is 35 years old. You cannot expect a 35 years old to play 3 times a week and can maintain his performance. He should be a rotational sub that start the game every 3/4 games. I know the circumstances was correa injured. The fact is if we have to rely on Dzeko to play every games, his performance will be significantly drop. More wrong passes and more chances wasted.

I think it is similar with Hakan. He is clearly talented player but not a consistent player. He will be good playing against mid/low table team because the pressure is not high. He will lose concentration in a big match and will be invisible. Its the opposite of Vecino. He still is invisible in big or small game but ocassionaly give threat even in a big match.

In defense, there is no argument that our defense are not as tight as last season. But, it is compensation of our fluid and free flowing attack. You cannot have fluid attack and tight defense. I hope along the way we find the balance. I think general rules in serie a is the best defense win the league

I hope Inzaghi realize this and do not complacent with our games so far.
