Lucio's performances didn't start to dip until a year later, and even then he was a great defender. Chivu, Deki and even to a degree Zanetti were much less important to us in the starting XI. Not mention Pandev in the second half of the season.

Lucio was one of the main reasons we won the treble that year, and delivered arguably one of the greatest defensive seasons we've seen from any one defender in over a decade to that point, and until now even.

I strongly disagree with that, he was strong and had some great tackles, but he also made attacking runs that left big holes in defence and made a lot of timing mistakes. I vividly remember how many times I got angry at him and was annoyed, good thing we had Cambiasso and Zanetti, we must not forget their importance for our defensive performances.

I'm not saying he was bad, what I am saying is that Lucio was already in a decline, same with Julio Cesar and same with Chivu. You can still be a class player while declining, but I wouldn't put him on the list of Inter's best CBs ever or anything like that. He was important, but I'd say it was Samuel the one that shined under Mourinho.

I definitely agree with that, but I would say it was not until the season after that his runs really caused headaches. Probably because, as you say, we had Cambiasso, Zanetti and Samuel to cover for him.

The point is that they did, and therefore his runs were actually a good thing that contributed a lot to our gameplay.

It was not until there was no longer cover that his runs became a bad thing, which became a serious issue in the season that followed.

This is a big, big win. Our aproach was good, you cant play against Atalanta atacking football, for me this win is on level beating Rube, Atalanta is for me, alongside Rube scumbags, toughest opponent in seria A. So this is great result, who cares that it was an ugly win. Thats the only way you can beat them. Keep it up.

Congratulations to all Inter fans on our 19th Scudetto that we won 4 MATCHES AGO.

Please stop the anti-jinxing, it's getting really ridiculous at this point.

Truthfully, we are lucky we only have Serie A. Most of our victories are based off luck. Our attack is clueless and horrible :/ We don’t even have replacements for when LukakWho has such a horrible day.

Juve have Ronaldo, Morata, Dybala.
Milan have Ibra, Leao, Mandzukic
Lazio have Immobile, Correa.
Atalanta have Muriel, Zapata.
We have Lukaku, Lautaro, Sanchez, Pinamonti, playing once in a week, and you still feel it's not enough? C'mon man.

Every team in this planet have only one or two main striker, only Real Madrid back then have 100 striker, and look at them now, they only have old Benzema as their main striker.

Also, sometimes you win games with good defending tactic. Not every amazing attacking play wins you games.

Barella is so tired that he doesn't have enough energy to jump for over 10 seconds

It's definitely a test by Conte. Anyone with enough energy to jump around after the match clearly didn't expend enough during the match and will be fined.

You overlooked a lot.
- Milan have Ibra, Leao, Mandzukic but they use only 1 striker formation.

- Real Madrid use 1 striker as well, and they have Benzema plus Rodrigo and Vicinius.
- Juve: Ronaldo, Morata, Dybala, Kulusevski and Chiesa can be used there as the last resource. For 2 slots.
- Lazio: Immobile, Correa, Muriqi and Caicedo. For 2 slots.
- Atalanta: Muriel, Zapata, Lammers. For 1 slot.

Basically the options should be at least double the number of slots. We have 2 slots and 4 competitive players, is "enough" in number but in fact it's not, as Pinamonti is a Serie B striker at best.

Yes, but thats should be enough to compete for at least one competition.

Also Rodrigo, Vinicius, Kulusevski, Leao, mandzukic, Muriqi, Caicedo, Lammers, are garbage anyways, I prefer Sanchez over them.
My point is our team is good enough to compete for Scudetto, I don't wanna hear an excuses about us not being able to secure the title because we lack quality in attack, i know its true but so do our rivals, no team (top 4) in seri A have more luxury in attack, we're even.

All of the football players you named know how to play football, but are not really the cream de la cream. Calling them garbage is a bit...ignorant.

I agree that Vinicius is not that good, especially compared to (kinda finished Inter) Sanchez. Lammers, Rodrigo and Kulusevski are proper squad players, Leao ain't that bad either. I wouldn't mind any of these on our bench. Rodrigo is a hard worker, so he would be another Hakimi/Lautaro/Barella if he played under Conte. That's the point, having players that know how to play but won't bitch about not starting every game.

Maybe, but I guess the question is whether you would prefer Pinamonti over any of them?

The results are (finally) in! Please discuss them here or in their appropriate thread.

Make sure you check out the interesting statistics :slick:

The Player Rating Results are in!

What a clutch and defensive game it was against Atalanta on Monday.

Some interesting statistics from this game:

- Skriniar dropped in consistency from 0,95 to 0,94 because his high individual game score is inconsistent compared to his high average! Though... he only dropped by one point and the high score raised his season average by quite a bit.
- Both 1st and 2nd half take the 14th spot out of 36 games this season... with there being a 0,70 score difference between the two (5,92 and 6,62). Second half FC by FAR!
