Yeah, sure that's not what happened, because we instantly scored and got the lead. We were gaining offensive momentum before scoring the goal, so I immagine the game would have been played in another way if we hadn't scored there. And I think that today we were just happy to have the lead and keep it tight, especially as Lukaku and Lautaro were certainly not going to do any harm on the offensive end.

On another note, I don't feel that this game was some Napoli like, as we conceded very little today, apart from the corners. I feel that we were far more stable today. Napoli had at least 5-6 big scoring chances they didn't capitalise on.

BTW our record against the top teams (milan, juventus, roma, lazio, napoli, atalanta) this season is 5-3-1. Just saying, as it was widely stated that we are crawling in the big games under Conte.

this 2021 is amazing till now. We won against basically everyone. Now we have to beat the small teams which was never the easiest thing for Inter, but for sure not that hard like beating those teams we had. Last year we really had big problems winning against Lazio and Juve, people should not forget that we already lost the scudetto at march thanks to this. It's also normal at the end. Why should a team win the league after losing to the other top teams?
We don't have won the league now but it's anyway a strong signal.

One thing we've learned over the years is that if there is one team who can snatch defeat from the Jaws of victory its inter. So it's going to be a nervous few months!

It was an important win but i dont know why you guys are so happy.. We sat back for most of the second half, relying on Lukaku,Martinez Combo Magic which never came. Any better team than Atalanta, we would have conceded the equalizer. This is a bad habbit which Conte has. He is brilliant when things are level playing field, but as soon as his team goes in front, he chokes, just doesnt know how to handle this.

Losing the CL is proving a blessing in disguise. We all knew even if we progress we are not going to win it, so might as well lose in champions leage and win the scudetto.

Atalanta are very efficient attackers, so who knows if we would've conceded against a different opponent. We did look very organized in defense in all honesty. Us having 1 shot on goal is worrying though, this could've easily been 0-0.

Completely agree here. This match would have gone scoreless even if it would last for two weeks, had we expected our strikers to score. In fact, there are many matches where our strikers were completely garbage and the game was decided by either midfielders or defenders.

But then again, feels great that we dont need penalties to decide matches for us
