I don't want to even think about penalties. We need to go and punish their weakest link, defense. We need goal(s),not just to defend the lead. If we can't get at least a draw vs Bayern at home then fuck it.

Who are the five penalty takers? Hakan, Lautaro, Arnautovic, Taremi, and Dimarco? We are so cooked if it comes to that.
You have to assume Lautaro plays the full 120. Dimarco surely won't be on the pitch at that point.

My best guess:

Taremi/Arnautovic (whichever one replaces Thuram)
Acerbi (great penalty last year against Atletico)
Lautaro (guaranteed miss)
Hakan (chance he's subbed off, but hoping he plays 120 if the situation calls for it)

Your last one really depends on who's available. Barella has a good record with them.

Asllani strikes me as someone who would be good at penalties. I base it on nothing but an intuition of course :D

"THE CHAMPIONS" roar in Meazza it's going to be wild.
Was reading this with a smile on my face earlier today. Now I got a call and I just found out some guy can't go any more to this match, so I can buy his ticket!!

I AM ATTENDING 🤩

Who else from FIF is coming?

Zielinski would be one of the first three penalty kick takers if he was available. I'd give one to Augusto too, as 5th or 6th option.

Why are we already talking penalties :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Just asking ourselves what we have. Bayern have the edge here for sure. Kimmich, Kane, Goretzka, Gnabry,..

We will score in the first half.
Then, in the second we will go for a walk in the park, thinking that everything is done, and Bayern will punish us

If that's our attitude in the game we deserve to go out

I hope that we will not decide to sit back and only rely on counter-attacks. That would be a huge blunder.

It is still a 50-50% game for either of the team to progress to the next round. Hopefully, we will do our level best in both the first and second half.

There are only 4 games this season when we didn't score a goal - 3:0 against Fiorentina, 1:0 against Juventus, 0:0 against City and 1:0 against Bayer. Seeing how we scored 2 against Bayern already, I expect us to score at least one goal.

Also, we only conceded 3 goals in CL this season - in 11 games! No need to concede multiple goals now. Nuh-uh.

This is what this Inter side was building up to. As long as we don't go full defensive at home, we'll be going through

I'm pretty sure it's not us to decide that. :D Bayern pinned us to our half and box in the first match pretty effectively and I fear if they are chasing the goal in the second half, exactly the same thing will happen.

Don't have one.
I'm more worried about the bologna game next week than this, and mainly because of our approach in cl, we just seemed more locked in there.

And just to prove mine and other people point who claimed consciously, or unconsciously we made cl priority number one, in the last league game inzaghi and other bench players were shouting at darmian, augusto and other players to not use full sprints and run too much and to conserve energy. I guess that's what you need to do when you are juggling three competitions at the same time, but there is no way something doesn't give, and our inability to play two constant halves on a certain level is probably direct result of that.

I guess, they will start hard from the beggining, try to score in first 15-20 minutes. If we "survive" that, they will became nervous. We have to be concentrate from the first to the last second. No panic. We are the one who decide what result will be at the end, not they.

I'm not worried about the first half, it's the second half that I'm worried about.
