Highlights featured a lot of Sane who seemed to have disappeared from the headlines for awhile - was he that impressive?

I am not disappointed that Inter got beaten or outperformed by Bayern. That was only expected.

I am disappointed that Inter got outmuscled & outthought, that Bayern showed more intensity & energy & hunger. At San Siro. That is inexcusable.

Yep, this team looked like they came out accepting defeat. Very worrying.

Would’ve been worse if they still had Lewandowski.

Honestly some posts are really exaggerating.

Losing at home to Bayern is no shame. The way it happened is very disappointing but this is nowhere near as humiliating as some posts suggest. Helsinborg is embarrassing. Beer Sheva is embarrassing. Failing to beat PSV, Slavia and Gladbach at home is embarrassing. Losing to Barcelona b team is embarrassing.

We haven't beaten a top team at home since Tottenham.
So far we've lost against Lazio, Milan and Bayern but people acted as if we lost against Salernitana, Cremonese and Slavia

I do not agree with those who write that Inter played unmotivated and did not try hard enough, as for me the players gave their all 100%, just Bayern Munich in class is a better team, and our players try as not to yield to the class unfortunately. Let's see what will happen in the match against Barcelona, it should be easier for sure.

In the second half, Inter did well in handling Bayerns pressing(I would argue that they did well in the first as well, compared to expectations).

Mikha appeared to be deployed as another midfielder (apart from Hakan) who could switch play from one flank to another.

Dzeko should have finished his great opportunity, I would say apart from Correa’s, his opportunity was the easiest of the evening.

I think both of bayerns goals could have been cleared off the line of Denzel slid in the first and D’ambrosio handled his clearance better.

Bayern scored two great goals.

Feeling better about this, now that Dumfries is starting. Dumfries and DDA should be able to neutralize Sane, of course he may do it all by himself. FORZA INTER, let's get a result.
That prediction aged well:palm:. It's not Inzaghi's fault I jinxed us.

Bayern were always going to establish themselves early and get a few punches past our guard. On the whole though, I thought we defended and managed the first half fairly well.

When we moved the ball forward, I thought we did a good job of finding space with Mkhitaryan in particular playing with class and intelligence. Unfortunately, as is becoming a recurring theme, we sorely lacked quality in some crucial moments, namely from Dzeko (who was otherwise pretty good), Lautaro, D'Ambrosio and Dumfries.

At about the hour mark the game kinda turned into shit tho.

They are much stronger than us, last time we were stronger was 2010 final. Year after we beat them by unbelivable luck, what Ribery and co.missed that night is once in a lifetime. We would lose to them last season, season before that and so on.. We are weaker every fkn season. Losing Perisic was brutal and it cost us already.

This defeat left a bit of a sour taste in the mouth, but the Milan & Lazio's still haunting us and from there we're starting playing like a bunch of zombies. Inzaghi probably lose half of the dressing room at this point and he needs to find another solution like integrating Asllani or even Bellanova kid into the team. This became a problem when Limone always sub in gags for no reason since that retard not gonna improve anymore. What was his thinking when we were down 2-0 and subs in Gags? why not barella or even Asllni? to defend 2-0 defeat???????

I don't understand this mentality of Bayern much better, we defended, blah blah blah. if that's the same mentality Inzaghi had, pretty much throw in the towel on expectation to loose, then why is he being shit on here? There's was no team here. We have had worse players than what we have now and for god's sakes don't even mention Perisic like he would be some sort saviour when pretty much the mentality and poor subs/lineup spoke for itself. Just look at these stats:

It's like we're playing the best team on the world judging by that. 2 vs 11 shots on target. 10 GK saves vs 2. You're playing at home. Lost to Lazio, lost to Milan. What are we even doing in CL if we're gonna be this poor, at home. There's a huge disconnect from last season. I don't know if it's Inzaghi, the arrival of lukaku or just plain back to the shit days, but this is just embarrassing. Bayern is strong but it's not a fucking goliath to dominate like that.

Sane has looked like a new player this season, at least by the Bayern standards he'd set the previous two seasons. He's been outstanding. Last night was simply a continuation of that.
I am sure you loved him when he couldn't score from the line against Gladbach 😀
