We are about to play season-defining match after this game so players rotation is required here. Barella needs to be rested and it is the highest priority. His fatigue is very apparent in two last matches and we urgently need his energy against Shaktar. Bastoni also needs rest although he doesn't need it as badly as Barella. However, he is our only left-footed centerback thus we need to keep in a good shape. I expect we would drop more starters and it might cost us 3 points, but I would rather lose points here than crashing out of groupstage for the umpteenth time. That being said, 3 points is still within our grasp on paper due to difference in squad quality between us and Bologna.

We don’t win today and the season is over. Milan is already 5 points ahead. We need to win today to stay close. I doubt they will lose today but if they do or tie we are 1 game away from catching up to first.

I prefer to be league champions than getting knocked out of last 16 of champions. Personally
