Wouldn't we have been 1 point behind Lazio if we won? I really want to finish above them, and definitely not behind Atalanta again. 2nd place is a whole of a lot nicer than 4th.

I said that it wouldn't change much, I didn't say it wouldn't change anything. Sure being 2nd would be a lot nicer than being 4th, and we are throwing away that opportunity.

God what a frustrating club we’ve chosen to support. I’m just completely over it at this point. Yet another embarrassing 2nd half performance, this one even more humiliating than most. I don’t know what’s going on in that dressing room at halftime but it’s fucking inexcusable.

by the way, this match wasn't worse than the parma one, maybe we even played a little better than then: it just so happens that in that case everything went in our direction, this time it was the opposite.

You would think our team practice shooting by directing them to shoot at the middle or to miss purposedly. Let's see:
1. Lukaku shot to the middle within GK's grasp while being unmarked 2 meter from goal. He was lucky the ball still managed to roll in.
2. Lautaro shot penalty middle.
3. Alexis had his chance saved by Skorupski but the former made it easy by shooting straight at the latter's direction.
4. Alexis and Gags managed to miss empty net two matches in a row :chan:

At this rate, I wager Ronaldo will even flunk easy chances and penalties if he joined us :yao2:

Its funny how there were actually few people expected an “easy win” for us this game, let alone a win. I hope you learned your lessons.
We are as arrogant as our players. If not more.

my guess is, some people simply didn't realize that brescia is a poor team, which for whatever reason almost didn't even bother to try to play the match against us, so that 6-0 may have mislead some into thinking we were on the right path, while in fact it was just an isolated case.

Now I remember that there wasn't even pressure from Meazza fans that sometimes is the excuse.

So how the fuck Inter managed to lose against Bologna with 1-0 lead and after were given penalty and Bologna player were sent off? IMO both those decisions were pretty soft and questionable. The referee wanted to gift us this game but these idiots manage to throw it away. This is beyoung my understanding.

There was no excuse this time. Inter players as whole are just not good enough.

Well, maybe. But they beat Verona with aspirations of EL yesterday. So who can really tell what's the story.

This is great point. With or without fans,it's just the same for this fuckers. And "pressure from Meazza" was excuse for them so many times.

Also,as Puma said, this is clearly mentally ill team. What is interesting to me is that we even bought that huge warrior Godin with great personality to help with this aspect and even he can't do shit with leading by example or something. Are we just having to many mental dwarfs that no one can really fix this (not Conte, not Godin...) or what is the real problem.Who bloody knows.

There's a big difference between playing a team that is 9th (Bologna) in Serie A to a team that is second to bottom in 19th position (Brescia). Perhaps some posters took the positions of both teams for granted and had high expectations for the game against Bologna. But isn't that how it should be? As a club, we should not be scared of the likes of Bologna and Sassoulo, especially when we are playing at home (although our home advantage has been neutralised by covid). Personally, I do not think that our fans are arrogant. They simply have expectations that we should be able to beat 9th placed Bologna. But the reality is that the only certainty that comes with this Inter is the certainty that they will not finish the job they have started and always fail to execute.

you should also have put in bold the second part: "which for whatever reason almost didn't even bother to try to play the match against us".

football sometimes is random, that day brescia didn't even show up. i don't know brescia well enough to understand why, but this is irrelevant to me.

when we consider the brescia match for what it is, an exception due to the very poor performance of our opponent, we can observe a continuous trend: we can't kill off the matches, and we are often surprised on the counter. it happened against every single opponent from napoli on.

the second problem is a tactical one, the first one might have a psychological component.

also, as others have pointed out, conte should be more proactive with the substitutions.

Being 2nd is a whole lot more than being "nicer", it means that we would be in second seed but we can kiss it goodbye.

What does it matter man. We would be "favourites" alongside a first tier team like Real Madrid, for example, then some third tier club will "surprise" us and we'll play in EL in February next year.

I'll bring the possibility to enter the first tier by...winning the EL but I don't see us as competent to do that.

what do you mean? unless you win the league (which automatically puts you in the first seed), the result in Serie A doesn't affect your seed in europa league or champions league, which depends on your results in the european competitions over the previous 5 years.

Correct, not sure why I thought first and second are seeded..

Saw Getafe-Real a week ago. They are gonna smack this Inter vs Bologna mentality to the Pluto .

Need to be our A game.

Said when the original draw came that Getafe were the worst matchup we could've drawn because of their way of playing the game. Total physical bastards. Well, if we bring our Pazza Inter mentality against their's, then, yeah, it won't end well for us.

Dunno if we'll win that competition, but the way we perform against Getafe is going to show whether any progress is being made or not. They don't take shit from anybody. Frankly, I applaud it.

The last Inter team playing modern football was Spalleti last season. 4 at the back and three attackers. He even collected more UCl points than Conte. Conte just plays kick and run football by flooding crosses from his crazy wing backs. This style will get us no where. No serious team uses our formation and it makes players exhausted thats why we choke in second half.
