We totally steamrolled Chievo with a very convincing team performance.

If you aim for the title, and actually challenge for it, then CL is guaranteed. If your goal is CL in and of itself, you're taking a huge gamble, and 9 times out of 10, we lose those gambles.

It's not just ambition though. It's backing up that ambition. Anyone can SAY they're aiming for scudetto.

If a team is serious about competing for the scudetto, and follows through, CL is guaranteed. If a team is only serious about reaching CL, and its moves show so, then it's a huge gamble, and not a guarantee.
