Anyway, this Cheivo is the poorest Chievo in quite a few seasons.

They were until Corini took over again. He led them to 12th last season and already has them 16th (from last place when he became manager). They may have failed to win in their last 3, but they were facing Sampdoria with a new manager, Torino away (always a tough game), and a good Cagliari team.

We could be in for a rude surprise.

I fucking doubt we'll lose against Chievo tbh

The lack of quality in their team is terrifying, not to mention they lost their best midfielder in Coffie to Genoa last season (who isn't even starting under Gasperini)

Pellisier is completely past it, Thereau is far too inconsistent, Papp has been very poor lately; in other words, winning this game should be a no brainer.

Ffs Andreolli was a starter under Corini last season, and now he's our 6th choice at the back.

And Corini's undoubtedly utter garbage as a coach

Hence why Chievo's president sacked him and signed Sannino (who was terrible with Palermo) instead, someone who then got sacked, resulting in Corini's reinstatement as head coach

I don't think we'll lose to Chievo either, but this isn't the same Chievo that started the season. Corini wasn't fired because of his performances, he was sacked because of disagreements with the president.

A terrible performance between two teams low on form. A loss shouldn't have been surprising considering 1) we were on a bad run of form ourselves 2) we lack creativity badly 3) our poor record against Rome sides, esp at the Olimpico and 4) Lazio hiring Reja.

He's recognized to be a completely mediocre coach tbh.

We're not talking about Ventura, Reja, or Guidolin, journeymen who are experienced tacticians, but fucking Eugenio Corini.
