The long balls didn't work because of Matrix's horrible excution. He is better than distributing the ball than Canna in that his giveaways are mostly to the opposing goalies or defenders. Whereas Canna's were freebies to opposite strikers or midfielders.

If you want long balls, then Miha has to be on the pitch, his are freaking nice. Or even Veron who despite his slow reaction, can give good long passes.

Mancini is hypocritic. this match also no Oba, no Chino, no Coco, no Davids.

Example.. every football fans know this-> Favalli is stupid, monkey player. but there is always Favalli. no Coco.

It's disaster. rather Zaccheroni better than Mancini. last summer Zac request Jankulovski,Emerson,Stam.

Mancini is Favalli,Mihajlovic,Cesar,Giannicheda.

Jankulovski and stam to milan
Emereson to Juve

Why the heck can't we get those players. Here is the answer: Mancio only wont old crap players from Lazio who are way past there prime. He don't wonna bring them to our club because they are any good but because they are his frinds. :yuck: And he wont to be with them and take care of them with giving them a high wage. And he tells them to relax and enjoy their holiday at Inter.

Adriano will be out for this one, maybe thats good since he has been carrying a VERY BIG load since the start of the season.I just hope his injury isnt that serious and that he can come back better than ever ASAP.

Hopefully we will see more of Recoba and Oba as a result, and dont miss him in this game

I'd go for

Toldo

Zanetti Cordoba Matrix Favalli

Vdm Cambiasso Davids Deki

Vieiri Martins

With Recoba making way for the worst out of Martins or Bobo though i would keep him since he is lucky on Chievo and also Emre shall play if Vdm isn't providing or Davids .

Well we'll see Vieri+Martins for 90 minutes, that will be good, they're both in very good form.

Also Chievo is one of Bobo's favourite targets in Seria A, he always scores against them :D

Some thought about another lackluster performance from our great players.

Okay, I give up. Recoba should never be a play-maker. I knew it wouldn't work but i had some false hopes. He played brilliant at times, but he is another Veron. They have no sense whatsoever of where the game is or how grave the situation is. They remind me of my kid nephew playing: A lot of energy and flare but no sense whatsoever about the situation.

Backheels and dummy plays when you are trailing??? Passing the ball back without watching who's coming??? The only place I want him to play in is support-striker where he can dribble past the linesman, the referee and pass it to the ball boy and we won't be hurt that much.

If anyone, and i mean you Frisko ;) , says that stan is playing well then he is wish-full thinking-ing. Those kind of misses happen -only if he...- and it's okay. But he just played awful soccer and was just lost. For his, and our, sake I hope this is because he is being played out of position.

About the disallowed goal, I don't know how the linesman missed that call. There were so many players in the area before that ball being played, and one was marking Vieri. How do you miss that? But it is useless to try and suggest he was cheating us. The linesman is an honest man doing his job and was just caught off-guard...or was he? :fero:

Matrix should've been red-carded. How many times have I said that? Is he stupid, does he have a brain? How do you pull a player clearly and risk giving away a penalty and get a red card and make your team in deeper trouble. Not to mention his generous long ball giveaways to Chievo. To be fair, he was good at winning headers. But I am sure Burdisso can do that job and he will be much quicker.

Kudos to Vieri. It seems that him, JZ and Toldo were the only ones caring about winning. He scored an awesome goal and busted his ass to make us win. I was yelling at Favalli along with him. What can we do to ever get a decent LB? I'm willing to go and kill a goat over mount Everest to break that Voodoo.

It's been days since tht match was played. But like Hamed, let me also write stg abt this match, on how I felt.

I have always been saying and not gonna stop on this- Why 2 DMs ?:fero:
I even found out hard to find C.Zanetti during this game. Was he even there ? He's totally out of form. Just coz we started winning matches when playing with 2 DMs' doesn't meant tht we will keep on winning like tht forever. Wake up Mancini !! As for me, I felt like Inter was playing with one player less in this game. ;)

Materazzi and Favalli's long balls ??
May be, it's according to tht coach tht they did or ?? But they really made bad long balls. We have got a short striker upfront - Martins, and they keep on giving long balls? And look at their long balls, there was no need of tht many long balls. But on this I am sure, Mancini and the players have realised their mistakes already. :)

Materazzi - After Materazzi's remarks tht he wanted to leave Inter few days back coz he didn't get to play, my views on this player has totally changed. And I realized more when I watched this match. The more I saw him, more I got angry. It happens when one always have a big trust on any players. How could he even think like tht? :cry2:  (to leave inter, just coz he cudn't get to play few matches in a row)

Favalli - It's not Fav's mistakes tht he can't help in offence. Tht's normal, but we gotta replace this player with another one. Playing with him means tht we are playing with 3 CBs' and one player less in attack. Or we could play an offensive winger or midfielder in the left side.

Cambiasso - The more I see him, the more I like this player. :proud: :star:

Recoba - Wasn't bad, wasn't good, but I wouldn't mind giving him some more chances.

Stankovic - I think he was quite gud, but far from what he can do. What has happened to his good form ??

# Too bad, Vieri's legal goal was given offside. Tht would have changed the match, I guess. And Stankovic miss after Recoba had hit the woodwork was bad as well. But on the other hand we were also lucky not to concede other goals - Chievo hit woodworks 2/3 times. Luciano's was one of them.

:)

I am very much hoping to see Kily, another left back - Coco/? in the team.

Ummmmmm :frustrat:

That's my reaction after watching the game !

Maaaan , We shouldn't play with the trident Attack Mancio please . We played a rather bad game except at times (earlier in the first half and 2nd half ) . We didn't create much . It seemed that we played without flanks , only one-touch football around the area and since we didn't have a decent play-maker , that tactic failed miserably .

We should have started with Vdm/Ze maria- Cambiasso- Emre- Deki and Martins - Bobo in attack . Recoba shall play when things are going wrong in the 2nd half . The perfect position to get the best of this player is put him as a 2nd/3rd striker at the left flank , leaving all the space for him to shoot from outside the area . But to start with him is a great risk since he is a moody player and sorry to say it but not reliable . plus he doesn't also defend well .

Matrix played a rather decent game but his mistakes are fatal . I didn't know what paparesta was thinking when he haven't awarded a clear penalty for Chievo ! I think we should rely on Cordoba and give more playing time for Burdisso . This guy needs experience in Serie a then he will mature and be a very stylish defender .

Vieri played an excellent game and he demanded crosses from the right or the left flanks which was bad and rare from Favalli or Il capitano . He seemed to click well when Recoba was playing down the left flank and supplying him with crosses if Only Mancio put him in his position ?

I don't know what is Wrong with Stankovic but it seems that he is untouchable at Inter . He should have been taken out for Emre to play . I don't want to be Harsh on Veron since it's been a while since he played . Im very happy that he returned back since he Dictates us from behind and i'd love to see thi lineup next game .

Zanetti Cordoba Matrix Coco

Veron Cambiasso Davids/Emre Stankovic/Vdm

Vieri Martins

For the Disallowed Goal :yuck: :yuck:

Adriano - #10
Finally, I'm back after having some annoying computer and internet probs, though it's a shame it's to such a display. The team played poorly and things only really got better after we went down. That is the biggest problem, the side saves it's best play for the last few minutes of the match. Mancini really has to drill the guys on asserting themselves early and often instead of throwing everyone forward in the last few minutes.

But atleast Milan lost and we are only 2 points back of Udinese...

Bdragon it isn't that the guys don't assert themselves early its that Mancini gets his tactics wrong and doesn't change things til late in the game. This game is a perfect example, he puts VDM on and right away he wins a corner on the wing and then we score from that corner kick.

WE got ONE successful cross from open play...
How can u have Vieri and only get one cross and expect to do well.It seemed that Favalli didnt want to play in attack at all,he was soo bad in the first half and got better in the second but that better second half still sucked.
Stan had an overall good game but that miss alone was UNBELIEVABLE.It was an open goal!!!! I cant believe he missed that.

When will linesman give the benefit of the doubt to the strikers,is that rule written in invisible ink in the rule book :yuck:

Another DRAW with Chievo,i dont know how Mancini is handling it but i sure am losing it when i watch an Inter game...I am going to put my money on draws from now on at least i could make money from this horrible situation we are going through,i suggest the rest find that silver lining.
Another thing is ,i just cant help imagine another certain coach staying with us at this point and how would the tables look like with him.

yeh the emotion is bad, laucky its been awhile cause i was pissed after that game, and most others.

our performance attacking wise i would have to say wouldbe the worst game we have played all season.

If next season 2005/06 Mancini doesnt turn it around, we should bring Mourniho and he will cut 3 quarts of this team and employ the no bullshit business that goeswith football, cause right now, and for a long time...to us and to our rivals, inter is a joke.

Mourinio will not come to Inter...He just signed an extension and got a pay raise with Chelsea that makes him the highest paid coach...

I dont see why we have to wait for another coach for a no bull policy from any player...Mancini can do it if he puts his feelings and friendships aside.I think he is a good coach but he is also learning in this process, but he is at Inter and he must learn fast.
