I was too young at the time to remember all the dudes who played for us...he probably wasn't anything special eh?!

Paulo Sousa was a class act as a player, very underrated. Unfortunately his best was before his spell at Inter, by the time he joined us he was already half the player he used to be because of injuries. But IMO he was the real deal - a classy regista - one of the best of his time. He was one of the key architects of the (failed) golden generation of Portugal, which also included Figo & Rui Costa. Sousa is also one of the 4 players to have won consecutive CLs, but IMO he did not achieve as much as his talent should have allowed him to because of injuries.

Top player, one of the finest registas I have seen.
