We won't have Deki back? If we do, he should take Zanetti's spot, and Zanetti can either rest or play LB (I always thought he's better as a fullback, either side, than as a midfielder).

I dunno Deki wasn't called up for Parma, I don't think if he'll start training with the team again he'll have a starting spot.

I'll go with this formation too. Sneijder and Lucio will definitely start, since they're still suspended for league games. I want to see Mariga start too. My only concern is with Materazzi, since Fiorentina has pretty quick forwards, unlike Jube. But I do agree we should give Toldo another chance.

Mou confirmed that Milito, Sneijder, and Lucio will all play. Looks like the ban will be the next two fixture instead of the one against Parma (Lucio's case)??

There is no reason to play a very attacking lineup, it is important to keep a clean sheet at home game for two legged.

I want to rest Maicon, Cambiasso, and Pandev here. Play Mariga, Arnautovic, and Quaresma as subs if possible. Knowing Mourinho though, Maicon and Cambiasso could both start...

I dont feel secure at all if we have a midfield of Krhin, Muntari, Motta..Its a semi-final and despite Violas recent results, their midfiled is clicking really well..Marchionni-JoJo-Vargas to be precise..Santon is doing very good job at LB so Il Capitano and Cuchu should play in the middle..with Motta/Muntari..and Mariga is added already so the theres no trace of an injury and that is really good news only questionmarks over his fitness..but he will get minutes Im sure..Cagliari is on sunday not sat so theres time to recover also..

I just can't wait to see Mariga in action for the first time, he doesn't have to be brilliant, just to show me that he's prepared to give his all and that he can pass the ball fairly well at least. That would be more than enough for his first game. I'm sure he'll play from the start.
I also think we might see Deki get to play one half. And I fear Quaresma might have his chance too. (Fiorentina again right!?)

Krhin won't start in this match, he just returned from injury and this is the first game he's been called after that injury.

Cambiasso, Zanetti and Motta started against Juventus. Maybe at least one of them is rested for Cagliari match since I believe those are gonna start in that match.

However it's interesting Milito is going to start. He should get all the rest he needs. But maybe Mourinho thinks that Milito starts and that way we can get a lead so he can be taken out in the second half and not the other way around by introducing Milito later to help taking the lead.

I don't want Milito playing 90mins, we need him fresh in this tough month (Cagliari, Parma away, Napoli away, Sampdoria, Chelsea)
