I don't get why M'Vila has been criticized that much, Yeah, he has not been that good but he has not been that bad either, especially if he is competing for the place with the likes of Kuzmanovic/Guarin as well.

Hernanes (unless if he is not fit) should definitely start this game, especially in the absence of Kovacic.

Well, I just watched a rerun of the Juve game and my God, we are horrible at keeping the damn ball.

That could be one of the reasons why people put MVila in their lineups.

Palacio?! Isn't he sick or injured or something and was training alone?

It's a good lineup but I hope to see Shaqiri early on in the second half for Palacio.

Myself.
What's with people putting M'Vila in every damn suggested formation? I get it, you like him because he used to be really good and you want to include him in the lineup hoping he regains his form? Yes, sure it could happen if you believe that. Also, Santa is real and unicorns do actually exist!

People need to get over the fact that M'Vila is finished, that's it. He is not the same M'Vila from two years ago.

He is overweight and in the 6 months that he's been here he still hasn't regained his fitness even. When do you expect him to regain his fitness (losing the extra weight)? and when is he going to regain his form?

He is not playing because he is not fit, plain and simple and that's his problem, he just needs to work harder.

Mazzari didn't play him much, Mancini is not playing him so clearly the guy is not fit. Forget about Mazzari and Mancini, even we ourselves have seen it. HE IS NOT FIT!!

So stop including him in every damn lineup!

Kuz has been playing regularly and has been doing an OK job yet still you suggest M'Vila to start over him? The same M'Vila that every time he was given a chance he was shit? Seriously? Do you really think that could happen?

Motta wasn't a solid defensive midfielder and neither is M'Villa.

For a 4-2-3-1 you need a destroyer and a B2B or a playmaker. Kuz has been OK under Mancini and he can be our B2B midfielder. Trust me, I don't want to see Kuz in our line up but currently he is much better than M'Vila.

M'Vila used to be good, but not anymore but now he is just a scarecrow standing there doing nothing.

Why mvila is suggested in every formation is because he is more suitable in both 4231 and 4312 than kuz and guarin. As you said, in 4231 a destroyer and either a b2b or a playmaker are needed, using our players, we have medel as our destroyer, talking of b2b we don't have that kind in our team and I don't see either kuz or guarin as one, both of them are poor defensively, If you had watch against juve even guaro tracks back more than kuz, kuz has been seen better lately because he makes fewer mistakes now, makes good passes, nice in attacks and even makes some nice dribbles, as a cmf some people don't check him deeper but his ball holding and moves, the problem with kuz lies deeper. Regarding a playmaker in 4231 , mvila is a far better playmaker than kuz and guarin who are not even playmakers. Even though as you said mvila and motta aren't defensively good , they are still better than kuz and guarin in that aspect . This why most people suggest mvila in every damn formation.

Palacio is still sick plus his ankle injury seems to be getting worse. Probably won't be even called. We'll have to see if he attends the training session today.

The two sides have met 94 times in Serie A: Inter lead by 47 wins to 18.

Inter have won only one of their last four games against Genoa in the league (D2, L1).

In Serie A, Genoa's last win away to inter was in March 1994.

The last four meetings at the San Siro has seen an average of five goals per game.

However, Genoa have failed to score in 25 of 47 games played in Milan.

Genoa have picked up just one point from their last three league games.

Inter have won only one of their last six home games (D3, L2), and conceded an average of two goals per game in the process.

Before losing away to Torino, Genoa had gone unbeaten for seven consecutive games on the road (W3, D3).

Genoa have scored the most headed goals (6) while Inter are the only side yet to concede a headed goal.

Mauro Icardi has already equalled the total number of goals he scored last season in the whole Serie A campaign (9).

Alessandro Matri has scored the most goals away from home this season (6). He's scored only two goals in his 12 previous appearances against Inter, last in 2013 when he was at jube.

Mancini conference via tweets

"Tomorrow we'll look to build on our performance against Juventus, making as few mistakes as possible"
"The main thing is that Inter win games, always giving their all. We're working well and I'm confident"
"I don't think Shaqiri is ready to play 45 minutes or even 30. He hasn't played since 19 December"
"The players we've brought in up to now have been loan signings"
"Vidic isn't 100% but we don't have any other choice. He's experienced and knows how to handle himself"
"Mario Suarez is a good player, an excellent midfielder"
"The club is doing everything it can at the moment. It all depends on what comes up"
"Palacio is an exceptionally hard-working player. He's looking better. I hope he can have the op in May"
"Jesus is banned for four games, so we'll see if we can do something in defence"

The worse we're doing, the earlier he'll come on. Let's hope he only plays the last 10!

Why is the Kovacic red card fucked up? It was a fair call by the referee tbh.

MANCINI: "FEW CLUBS IN THE WORLD LIKE INTER"

The coach met with journalists ahead of tomorrow's game against Genoa: "A side with pace and skill, it will be tough. We must aim to keep on improving"

APPIANO GENTILE – Inter are set for their first home game of 2015 - against Genoa tomorrow - after a busy week which saw them pick up at point at Juventus Stadium, bring in two new signings and lose a number of players to suspension.

Roberto Mancini met with the media today ahead of tomorrow's 12:30 kick-off to discuss the match and a number of other topics.

He began: "Our aim must be to keep improving as a team and play well while maintaining our focus and making as few mistakes as possible."

The coach remains upbeat despite having to contend with the suspension of a number of players: "Whoever I pick will perform well and have the chance to show that he deserves a place in the team."

Mancini then commented on tomorrow's opponents: "Genoa are a difficilt team because they have lots of pace and skill. It won't be at all easy and we'll need to produce a top performance to beat them."

On the chance of seeing Shaqiri on the pitch tomorrow: "He hasn't played since 19 December so I don't think he's ready. We don't want to risk him getting injured."

"Vidic isn't 100% because he hasn't played for a month but he's got bags of experience and knows exactly how to handle himself.

"Osvaldo and Icardi? I don't want to go back over that again.

"Palacio is an important player for us. He's looking better by the day but of course his ankle does hold him back a bit."

The Ballon' d'Or winner is set to be announced in a few days' time and the manager was asked who he would hand it to. "I think Neuer deserves it because he's more than just a goalkeeper."

He also responded to why he sometimes gives notes to his players during games. "In can be difficult to make yourself heard in England and Istanbul and it's just easier with a piece of paper."

With the transfer window now in full swing, Mancini fielded a number of questions about the club's dealings. He said: "There's plenty of time for talks to take place. We're focused on tomorrow at the moment because we have an important match to play. The club is doing everything it can and we've brought in Podolski and Shaqiri. We'll see if we're able to do anything else.

"How did I convince them to join Inter? I spoke to them and told them that there are few clubs in the world like Inter. I believe they can help bring us success again."

On possible further signings, the coach continued: "Mario Suarez? He's an excellent midfielder.

"Could something else happen in attack or defence? Up front we're fine as we are because we have Bonazzoli and Puscas as well. I also think Shaqiri can operate as a second striker.

"At the back, Juan Jesus' four-match ban could be a problem. We'll see if anything comes up."

guarin who are not even playmakers.
beg to differ.
, that pass is the definition of play making. sure he's not perfect but he's more mobile than m'vila and was a b2b before coming here where we played with his position too much. i prefer guarin to kuz and m'vila, prob not over hernanes if he's available for the position. I think of m'vila as a slightly worse medel and as his backup, not his partner.
