With Satriano injured, could we see Fonseca and Carboni on the bench?

Wouldn't surprise me if the same formation and starters vs Dynamo Kiev , are the ones vs Genoa.

Inter twitter mentioned he stayed out as a precaution so perhaps he could be available against Genoa. It's a real shame as he had good chances of making his debut.
Honestly after what I saw yesterday I’m very interested to see how Sensi plays in that position right behind the striker in a competitive match. Could unlock a new solution for us.

It appears Dzeko-Sensi will start the match. Satriano will come before 70th mark because Dzeko can barely jump let alone run at that time. I just hope we already have 2 goals lead when dzeko is taken off.

1 Handanović ; 37 Škriniar , 6 De Vrij , 95 Bastoni ; 2 Dumfries , 23 Barella, 77 Brozović, 20 Çalhanoğlu , 32 Dimarco ; 99 Pinamonti , 9 Džeko

Since my old formation aged like milk, I made a new one.

GdS predicts the same lineup as Kyiv. 3511 with Darmian and Perisic on the flanks, and Sensi behind Dzeko.

I don't like Sensi as AM tbh. I just don't think he's in the right zones of the pitch.

While he's good at linking midfield to offense with his dribbling and movement, I think he simply lacks the offensive skills to succeed so far up the pitch. He should be deeper IMO. He's simply not incisive enough with his final balls, and his shooting is fucking pathetic. A 12 year old girl in a wheelchair has a stronger shot than Sensi.

I know it's only a temporary measure in Lautaro's absence, but I wonder why he doesn't swap Calhanoglu and Sensi's positions. I'm skeptical of Calhanoglu (in general) but in terms of goals and assists, he has much better end product than Sensi. I think it's crucial for the AM to be a direct goal threat.

I like Perisic, more than most, but Dimarco's left foot is simply too good to not use. While Perisic will always try to cross from the byline, Dimarco can curl in these beautiful and accurate, diagonal crosses from deeper. The difference in cross quality when he came on in preseason games has been very apparent.

Dimarco & Dumfries is an excellent combination. The best crosser since Cancelo and a physical beast in aerial duels.

They are newcomers though, so understandable if Inzaghi chooses Darmian & Perisic over them. But really, he should exploit this new weapon.

Just a thought I had but maybe Inzaghi wants Sensi to be a kind of decoy, like a false 10 that can drag players out of position for the likes of Hakan, Barella, and Brozovic to make runs into the box and get into more offensive positions.

In his attempt to force a move, Dumfries was training separately from the rest of PSV squad so he will probably need some time to regain match fitness. I don't expect him to start a match before the international break. It's a good thing he wasn't called up in his national team and he will stay in Italy.
