There's this one schmuck from Tampa who comments on this website. No, not @thatdude, not only is he not a schmuck but he already has appeared on your podcast, I'm talking about somebody else. Can't remember his name though, although I hear he might be a bit of a message board provocateur so maybe that's cause for warning.

Not sure if we're allowed to have two communists on the podcast at once. Maybe one episode where @CafeCordoba is out, to fill the quota.

Good dissection of the Genoa match. The increase movement towards an endless football, can be in part solved by increased the size of squad and prioritizing these tournaments based solely on economics, less payout lower emphasis eg. use subs and primavera. It's between Inter ( if injuries and age don't catch up with them) and Juve for Scudetto with Milan and Roma making noise as well. My dark horse is Genoa they seem to have a game plan. Conte fired by Valentine's Day.

Just need to treat certain tournaments with the disdain that they deserve to be treated.

Bigger squads for the bigger clubs will only pillage the smaller clubs and smaller leagues even more than they're already being pillaged. This isn't a good solution for the health of the sport. (I realize you're probably just looking for solutions to a rotten problem anyway.)

Your right, and it wouldn't help Serie A and Inter at all, unless the additional members have to " home grown".
Actually, before I mentioned a more drastic measure; Industrial action by the players. Good start would the greed filled summer tournament to be held in the US. All these tournaments is probably in some way a demented strategy to establish the super league. Grande now that conspiracy addled brain in starting to overload...my excuse the heat ;)

Players do need to unionise, but in a different way to what has been done in industry. It's obvious that it needs to happen, nonetheless.

A simple solution would be a cap on the amount of matches a player can play in a calendar year, for example.

The fans don't even like the extra fixtures. It's greed at the top of the game, pure and simple.

Remember when Wegner was pushing for an annual world cup?

The more I tune into the podcast, the more I realize we're all speaking the same language here. The difference being, where some of us would say "X player sucked ass today, what a fucking wreck, fucking sell him, or bench him wtf...", others will choose a more politically correct route and say "X player is visibly tired, he hasn't had much recovery time, maybe Inzaghi should rest him".

Also, the hydraulic press youtube guy on the pod can say Cagliari 10000 times and it will still not be enough for me 🥲🥲🥲🥲

Started listening all episodes I missed this summer while being busy with other stuff. Done with 47 & 48. I swear there are some of the worst takes so far. Already scared of this "We do not like England" episode.

That was actually good episode. What you talked about Premiership fans is what is my experience with Primera fans. England fans I'm founding are down to earth, one of the most reasonable etc. Never encountered many of this people you are talking about. I really don't know on what shady content you all are wasting your time on,this people are never appearing to me anywhere. On the other hand Primera fans are like maniacs talking bullshit all the time all of them acting like 12 year old childs. As @CafeCordoba told how it started for him with some Finnish forum it was the same with me 15+ years ago on few Croatian forums. Primera fans was always the most unbereable pricks you can ever encounter. Then you have this let's called them expert sites with good analysis etc. They know what they are talking about football but it's always Primera. Always Real and Barcelona. Like no other league exist. Still, I have no reason to hate their NT. Sometimes I like them (Xavi-Iniesta period), sometimes I don't.

Good episode. Suspect Dumfries will resign, Correa stays and Palacios will get some minutes cause Augusto is Dimarco's sub and Bastoni is subbed typically at the 70 to 80 minute mark. The Atalanta match depends on which team shows up for each side, probably results in a tie. More importantly, will Marotta sit next to the Oaktree woman or be shunned to the side?
