How about not changing design of home one every year? could be every two/three years
I do not think that is a good idea. It would mean that we get stuck with Nike's shit home jersey for two or three years.
Someone mentioned a few pages ago that Borussia Dortmund told their designer what they want in a home jersey. That would be the best solution: strict parameters for a home jersey dictated by the club.
The home jersey for this season is in such poor taste that it leaves me speechless. I am a lawyer and do not know anything about design but those sideway streaks make absolutely no sense. It makes me think that the designer thought he was doing something "creative" and all he did was destroy the jersey.
I think it is sad and a missed opportunity. It was meant to be a special and memorable jersey to mark a milestone, the second star, and all we got is half jersey with stripes and the other half that has no relevance other than that it is different, in a shit way, to anything we have had before.
Just as a side note, I recently commented in a WhatsApp thread on the French kit (white jersey with blue shorts) and how beautiful it was (also made by Nike). The same designer that designed our abomination also designed the French strip so it is not like he is tasteless or has no idea.
I understand that the parameters for a national team jersey would be significantly different from a club jersey, but there is really no excuse for the shit we get served as a home jersey, season after season.
