Mancini out? I don't know what to think. If we replace him with Mourinho you're gonna see even more boring football. That I can guarantee right here and now. Rijkaard despite being a former Milanista wouldn't be bad though.

I wonder which players will follow Mancini though. Some players always follow the coach to his new club.

Hopefully and likely stankovic.

Mancini denied Figo refused to play. He was told to come in but Mancini changed his mind after the red card and goal.

Bah, the reff was right to send Burdisso off - what kind of stupid a**hole goes for the ball like that!? He showed his ininteligence in both yellow card situations, his actions were just plain stupid! I hate that guy - we should sell him a.s.a.p., Vieira also - you never know when he's gonna shit up your game with his ego and poor selfcontrol. Next, I am from Serbia but with my whole heart i say: bench stankovic and make him stay there! Get aquilani and aguero next season and then we might have some chance of getting through the first knock-out stage. Let's face it: l'pool deserved to go through - we played sh*t anfield even before of materazzi's sending off, and today we should have applied pressure right from the start, but we played 'cautiously' and deserved what was comming to us!

Why is it that every exit from CL is overshadowed by some antics??? I am afraid this way we will never learn from our mistakes.

Against Villareal there was the Veron-Adriano situation and some fans attacking JZ and Martins. Against Valencia there was the fight and the big suspensions, and now this!

Wonder what it will be next time? A player coming out after the game?

If we don't sign Mourinho it's going to be very sad, because he is by far the best coach out there, there is no coach out there much better than Mancini in the other hand.

Mourinho plays defense, plays offense, Mourinho also knows how to play young players, Mourinho is the key to bring European succes to this team and be competitive in the domestic league anyway.

People, u r all so biased... I don't know how Mancini is guilty for Burdisso/Matrix sending off or Zlatan's and Julio's missed chances.

Oh please - i hate it when people talk about mourinho like that! He plays crap football, yes he's done it with porto but what about chelsea? He managed to get the club hated by all others in the league, bored out the brains of their fans, bought washed-out players for huge amounts of money, what else!? His defensive counter-attack tackics work for the smaller and weaker clubs, like porto - and not for strong clubs that should grind their opponents resistance! If he's the alternative, I say: stay Mancio, I beg of you!

Mourinho made 95 points or something in EPL, similar to what Inter did last year, but Mourinho also have experience in Europe and thats what we need now, please, i don't want to see Zanetti retiring without winning that shit.

I have been hesitating to critisize Mancini because I respect the job he has done with Inter, but this is completely ridiculous.

1. Burdisso at LB, why? Chivu should've been playing there.
2. Taking off Vieira? Does he want Paddy to be pissed at him?
3. Put on Pele?
4. Where is Figo? He has won CL before. He has the experience.
5. Where is Jimenez?
6. Why didn't Figo or Jimenez start?
7. Why does he take a striker off when we need goals?
8. When is Suazo useful tonight? Liverpool are defending.
9. I seriously question the substitutions, or the lack of the right ones at the right time.

The players actually did alright. We've had five massive chances, but been too bad in front of goal.

1. Chivu was great at CB and we needed him there along with Rivas. Good choice.
2. It didn't cost anything..did it
3. Big deal...Pele came on too late..Maradona could't have saved us then.
4. Figo should have come on at half time...we sucked at free kicks...man I was wishing we wouldn't get any more after seeing Chivu and Ibra blast them into the stands.
5. Jimenez should have started.
6. Agree...one of them should have.
7. No way we would have scored 4 goals with 10 men. It was to save further humiliation and avoid getting Ibra to suffer the fan's ire. It was good.
8. Suazo aaahhh..I am not sure how good he will be with us.
9. Only thing I hoped would happen is Stankovic going off for Figo at half time.

We lost cos we didn't take our chances. As simple as that. Yes the sending off was pathetic. Liverpool fans were saying we were hard done in both the games. But the fault lied in us.
I won't judge much on this game but I really doubt if Mancini can ever get us far in CL and even in Serie A next season with a stronger Milan and Juve

MANCINI QUITS INTER

Roberto Mancini has sensationally announced he is leaving Inter at the end of this season after their Champions League exit.

The Coach kept the news to himself during the interviews with Italian and foreign television stations, but at the start of his Press Conference with the Italian newspapers made the shock announcement.

“I think that these will be my last two and a half months on the Inter bench. After four years and even if I have another four years left on my contract, I will leave Inter. I have already told the players.”

However, when interviewed moments later, Julio Cruz and Esteban Cambiasso said that the Coach had not said anything of the sort in the locker room.

Mancini was asked if the Champions League elimination to Liverpool had played a part in this incredible decision.

“No, tonight’s defeat has nothing to do with it.”

To add to the layers of mystery, he then refused to confirm what he had said when he walked back out past the television cameras, insisting he would only talk about the game.

FINALLY

Mancini is a coach that probably get the least credit from the press and the fan . . . 2 (and soon 3) Scudetti . . . that we were missing dearly for decades

I am sad to hear that some of Inter fans never rate him at all . . . give this guy some credit

Yes he did one bad substitution, but the results of this match is not Mancio's fault . . . it is the players', Ibra and Cruz wasted chances, Burdisso stupid red, Referee . . . If Figo didn't wanna go into the field, why blaming Mancio for not subbing Figo in? ? ?

And if he leaves, dont bring Mourinho . . . Boring football . . . I dont wanna win like Chelsea, I want my team to win in a good style . . . and that's why I support Inter . . . And if he comes, players need to change style and it will take time to rebuild a new team . . . God and I dont wanna see that greed Lampard wearing black and blue shirt

Mancio isn't going anywhere, so long as he continues to win us the scudetto. Moratti said it himself he has a place here as long as Mancini would like.

We had a chance up until the yellow cards started getting dished out. Both of Burdisso's fouls were bad decisions and both were yellows. the ref could have given him a break on the second one but most would have given it to him as the ref did. Not the referee's fault, he attacked from a bad angle, despite going for the ball, and went feet first into the player.

I think Mancini gave up after the red card. In my opinion Figo should have come on for any of the midfielders (except JZ) at the half. Viera played a little better in the second, he was aggressive as he needed to be but wasn't spectacular. Dejan shouldn't have even played. Cambi wasn't anything special, no plays of his I remember negatively or positively.

I think Mancini did a poor job with the lineup, and waited too long to sub in players. the subs should have been made at the half and at least before Burdisso's red. Burdisso himself probably could have been subbed and JZ could move back as he did, to avoid a second yellow. We all know Burdisso is an undisciplined defender when it comes to challenges.

Other than that the game wasn't that bad and it's not like he did anything wrong coaching. We played much better than we have been. The only the I noticed that may have indicated some poor coaching was our set pieces. Not a single one of our numerous opportunities even looked like threatening the Reds. That aspect of our game was disgraceful.

Cruz needs to find some luck... we could have easily been up 3-0 with the chances we had before Torres' goal.

By the way, some stats . . . Totally, we had 12 shots, only 2 on goal . . . Liverpool 6 shots, 4 on goal . . . Even with 10 men for 40 min, it isn't that bad tactically i think . . .

At least he was a man and quit, we won't have to pay him for 4 years. And this gives plenty of opportunity to find a coach and mold the team according to him.

He claims that he made the decision early, does that mean he didn't care about the game? Because it seemed like he didn't, we should hold him accountable for today somehow.

He should have waited till the end of the season to announce it publicly in all honesty. That wasn't a very smart move from him this could totally derail our scudetto challenge.

Thats true but mancini has effectively resigned from the ending of the season. He has decided to go so unless he changes his mind which I don't see happening we need a new coach.
