I wish people here would start acknowledging that a big part of the problem is the outdated italian approach.

Serie A =/= europe.

Inter arent this much behind liverpool player for player, despite having old slow dinos like Dzeko, to embarrass themselves 0-2. Its a profound tactical problem. Rubentus will lose to Villarreal as well, no doubt, then you will see.

Chin up lads. We played well.
They took their chances and we didn't, just unlucky.

We were dominating at the start of the 2nd half. Hell they started wasting time at one point. Nobody expected that. Then Firmino scores out of nowhere and we lost control.

If we play with that much passion in the league, it should be enough for B2B titles. Against Liverpool it's probably not enough, especially when you don't take your chances.

Completely disagree. We were just as physical, intense and combabitive as Liverpool, for large parts of the game even more so. It shows how "modern" we are now playing.
Our problem is we don't have enough quality players, so when our level drops, we have no one to come in and raise it, the way Liverpool did

We can't take chances with Dzeko and Lautaro.

Honesty the chances coming from Perisic, Calhanoglu or Dumfries. Van Dijk must be more than happy facing Grandpa Dzeko :ROFLMAO:

I don't know why, it's funny when i saw Dumfries against Van Dijk everytime instead challenge Dzeko lol. o_O

If you play FIFA, FM , PES, or any football game, i am sure there is no chance Dzeko past Van Dijk

I disagree. Its the tactical approach that make us have a chance against Liverpool.

PL is like a bunch of tactically retardation football players.

Wasn't some shithead critizing me for being negative after I predicted this match almost exactly?

- have some great chances but Lmaotaro, Dzeko and co. are too impotent to convert
- fail to capitalize on our strong periods
- eventually concede around the 70th minute from a set piece
- lack of response as players heads start to droop and create no good chances to get a goal back
- eventually lose the game without scoring a goal

This shit isn't remotely difficult to predict nor surprising when it happens. Why? Because it happens every time we play a big team.

The positive is that in every single big match, we've shown periods of dominance. I'd say we had about 30 really strong minutes today. We had about 45 minutes against Madrid, 45 against juve and about 60 minutes against Milan for example. The problems are that, obviously, we lack both the quality, but far, far more infuriatingly, the personality to ever hold our nerve until the end.

It's a collective failure:
- from ownership for absolutely gutting this squad
- from management, for bringing in the likes of Gosens to play 2nd fiddle to our standout performer this season in Perisic, instead of prioritizing a midfielder after Sensi's departure
- from Inzaghi, for not having the tactical nous nor the mentality to push this team just that little bit further over the finish line
- and from the players themselves, for not seizing their chances

2W, 5D, 4L against big teams. Pathetic. Limetti is looking less like a Conte and more like a Spalletti with every passing big match.
What can Limetti do?Lets swap Limeti with Kloppetti and you know what,Liverpool will still beat Inter. It has nothing to do with Limetti in this match. Yea,he can be blamed for Bbilan loss but not for this. No way.

About what I was expecting, I guess. Of course it's hard to score if you don't shoot on target and it's hard not to concede when you don't have a keeper. We didn't embarrass ourselves and at the moment, we can't expect much more against the top teams of Europe.

Yeah, Lautaro is seriously off-form and we all know that Dzeko is not good enough for this level.

Purely the mgmt fault not dealing with this squad depth issue.. can't be mad at the players who tried their best.

i have no idea why our players and coaches are saying after these games, with great teams, how ''we showed that we can play agains them''... well, yea, you can play, but you always fucking lose. 2 loses vs Real Madrid, probably 2 vs Liverpool, cant defeat Milan, Juve and Atalanta.... So fuck off with your ''we can play'' talks.

After another drink, it's giving up that second goal that really hurts, not saying the first wasn't bad. It just makes scoring 0-3 away really difficult.

For large parts of the the game? Apart from the first 15 minutes of the second half Inter were never in control and Liverpool never even once turned the pace up to what they can do, they didnt have to.

Liverpool came to SS being perfectly fine with a draw, like most team in a knockout away game. If they wanted to, they could turn up the pace to a much higher degree. Lets be realistic here, this was an easy win for liverpool, they played at like 75% capacity and still won 0-2, not breaking a sweat.

Inter had no answer to even a stale liverpool, its pathetic and serie a calamity all over again.

There was no issue with the tactics. The issue was the finishing and the bench.
Yes that's right, there is no Dzeko in top 10 list strikers in the world, then you fight Van Dijk, one of 3 best CB in the world.

Imagine shoot tank with air soft gun :yao:

I think he means the foundation is there now give us the fucking players Zhang. Tactics can only bring you that far, he can't turn Dzeko into Vlahovic.

That's just not true.

They absolutely went for a win, they were pressing the entire game, if they were content with a draw they'd have played a lot deeper, shut up shop etc.

Also, they made 4 subs before like 60 minutes whilst drawing, doesn't sound like a team happy for a draw to me.

Liverpool arent a team that 'shuts up shop'.

Not sure why those 4 subs should mean they were desprate for a result or whatever you are claiming, they were never in danger of losing control of the game, they knew they always had the extra gear. If anything they made early subs to simply rest players, Inter were that pathetic tbh.

Like i already said, Italy arent a joke in europe because of the player potential, sure its weaker than the EPL, but the main difference is the outdated tactical approach.

All English media is surprised that Inter pretty much neutralized Liverpool for 75 minutes and didn't allow them a shot on goal and here we are in the Inter forums saying how shit we were.
Klopp will remember this match for a long time.

They didn't even know that this is our football style. I'm not gonna say I'm surprised by some of you. Several of you are more prone to [English] football media manipulation than PL fans are.

Fuck Suning! We could have won this if we had a couple of quality attacking players.
