Sad that it has come to this, some fans are happy that for 15-20 minutes of 2nd half Inter showed that we can "compete" against Liverpool. Last weekend, Burnley also showed they could compete against Liverpool, perhaps a bit more than Inter did tonight. This is loser talk.
To me, this game showed the gulf between top teams and Inter. We are not even close. Just the fact that Klopp thought he could give a 18 yr old his debut at San Siro showed that gulf. And the kind of players they could bring in when they needed to push for goals, compared to shit we had sitting on the bench. Please don't delude yourself, we are not even close to competing with the likes of Liverpool.
We also struggle against all top teams now, not just in Europe. In the 2nd half of last season when Conte's team finally found its rhythm, we regularly beat top teams in Italy. Then we sold some of our best players in Hakimi and Lukaku without replacing them with quality. We took a step backwards instead of forwards, and it shows - in 10 games against top teams this season (Real, Liverpool, Milan, Juve, Napoli, Atalanta) we won 1. Just 1 out of 10.
Fuck Suning! If they cannot invest in Inter or at least match Agnelli's commitment to Juve, they should get the fuck out. They risk destroying whatever they built over the last 4 years.
