My entire initial point here was around our players on their socials etc saying they are proud.
It's OK for us fans to be content, and i agree with a lot of what you said, the shots on target stuff etc, but inside the club and the players can never just be content and proud with how last night went. Internally as a club we need to be aiming higher. Players being content with losing 2-0 to a superior team will only fester and bring a poorer mentality
I don't really pay attention to social media, so I wouldn't know.

If players expressed themselves this way, they're on the wrong.

It's disappointing to see our players say shit on their socials etc that they are proud of how they played last night. You lost fucking 2-0, at home. Yes we played well in parts, but what do we have to show for it? Honestly feels like this team is content with dominating for 70 minutes then going to sleep.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if they were contractually obligated to say that on social media.

Exactly this.

I expected a loss, but I didn't expect the kind of performance from Inter. It was much better than what I anticipated. We really can play against the best teams but we simply lack the final punch. And it's always about the fine details. Also we need to point out Klopp can bring 2x 50m€+ players from the bench and CL champion captain. Inzaghi can bring Sanchez, Darmian and Ranocchia.

We would have never be able to give this kind of performance with Conte (with these players). Inzaghi is doing a very good job with this team.
Amen to that!

As Jonathan Liew put it so articulately in the Guardian:

"In front of a fervid home crowd, Inter threw their very best at a sub-par opponent. It still wasn’t remotely enough."

That sums up the game. Its sad, but unfortunately true.

Nobody gives a shit about the money, no one says they're not wealthier and no one denies that there's two teams from there that in the last 5 years are in the elite.

Stop patronizing that shitfest of a money laundering league, if you like it so much stick with that.
But it’s not 2 teams though is it? Tottenham reached a CL final….that would be the equivalent of Lazio reaching a CL final.

I’m not patronizing jack shit, it’s stating the obvious which for some reason you don’t want to acknowledge because you don’t want to admit you were wrong as always. Nobody gives a shit about money? I’ll make it easy for you dummy: money = better players = better team = better chance of winning. We’re getting outspent by mid table premier league teams. Wake the fuck up and stop living in the past

Liverpool were sub par because we made them sub par though. We totally neutralised them.
He also didn't mention it was a 50% capacity home crowd.

In the last decade there's been Chelsea Liverpool Tottenham City as a minimum

AHh the british press.... What a bunch of horse shit....
A this was not our best we ve played better and we were missing one of our most important players in barella.
B since when is pool sub par? And c we made em look sub par you could clearly tell from the pool players body language that they were not happy with their performance and started to get frustrated before their first goal.

But sure not remotely enough...
Seriously fuck the british press and their fucken arrogance..

Man Utd and Arsenal have spent more money than Liverpool and Tottenham. Where are they?

I love that you're lecturing me about money...

You can imaign how much more crap they talking, i need to turn off my vol...
I was lucky enough to have BT Sport because the Greek speaker is one of the worst possible. Liverpool fanboy since forever and I assume he went on and on about how amazing Liverpool was and how Inter is lucky to be in the same stadium as them :D Allegedly he likes Inter from Italy but I never saw that in action, always had praise for Juventus and Milan on the other hand.

Why was Liverpool suddenly sub-par? Maybe it has something to do with the opponent?

We are missing the final punch but it's not like we weren't even close.

In what world is Liverpool a sub-par opponent?

Only City are more powerful than Liverpool in Europe. Not Real, not PSG, not Chelsea, not even Bayern. I get they don't want to admit an Italian side could ever give a challenge to an EPL powerhouse but this is hilarious.

Also claiming this was the very best Inter could do when there was no Barella and our starting forwards have been in terrible form for a while only shows these guys don't even bother watching football outside EPL.

Are you referring to Sotirakopoulos? I didn't watch commentary from Cosmote but the guy at Megatv actually said many times Inter played great and they didn't deserve to lose. He's a Man Utd fan though. :D
