I'm hoping the week off does us good. Maybe a break was what this team needs (you know, besides learning how to pass).

Impossible to know how this week will affect either team. Hopefully, it hammered home to these guys how lucky they are and what a huge opportunity to have ahead of them. Put some of the behind the scenes bull$hit aside, and go back to working your arse off to achieve your goals. Who knows how much longer you've got.

Then again, it could have the same affect on Napoli who will be hungry to avenge the Roma loss. Would be happy to take a draw.

I really recommend we do 5 defenders this game, we need as many competent defenders as possible. I would consider not having a striker at all.

What break man? We play once a week every week meanwhile other teams play in midweeks and still perform better than us. Break is not what we need, in fact break will do us worse as our below average players will continue to forget how to pass.

I agree, week off is gonna do more damage than good to the squad, I think.
Gearing up all week for the most important battle of the season which is the Milan derby only for it to be called off at the last second is not as easy mentally to swallow as you might think, regardless of the circumstances. Days were spent studying and analyzing Milan, and all of that was for nothing. And when the derby gets officially rescheduled they will most likely have to do it all over again because that won't be the tired Milan squad that just came out of a 120 minute match.
Our entire squad is going to be 110% match ready and knowing our individual mentality that will put additional stress and pressure on the players because they know there are no excuses to fall back on in case of a poor performance. The most important thing we got going for us right now is Roma's convincing triumph over Napoli, hopefully we can feed off that.

Well, it's do or die for Napoli, though I reckon they're already dead. Hopefully we can have a clear mind (and not like the one we had against Benevento) and keep our cool.

This extra week also gives Valero and Rafinha a chance to improve their fitness levels, as at least one of them is bound to start.

I agree with some comments here, that a good defense is going to be essential.
Actually, as I mentioned in another post, I'm pretty sure Napoli will go for it trying to win this game, after their last game against Roma.
So if we keep the off bay, we might be able to counterattack and take profit from the mistakes I'm sure they're going to make.

Napoli go for it and try to win every game, but with a strong defence and some clinical finishing they can be defeated. They're also somewhat psychological wanting when faced with adversity: Leipzig, Roma.

This week off is good for us. Icardi, Borja, Rafinha and Miranda will return in better condition, Sapll will have full squad and can play his best line up.

We stopped Napoli before with same players we have right now, i dont see a reason why we can't do it in our home.
