Those subs yesterday, we completely collapsed after changing our mid. Thanks to some incredible luck ( Handa's save and the bounce on crossbar and Mertens last minute kick) we held on to the dear , cruuuucial 3 points. But man we need reinforcements. If only we had players like Vlaho and Anguissa, they are totally dominating this current Serie A season.

Haven't check the fixture list, but heard the tables are turned for Napoli. Without Osimhen, they would start a harder set of fixtures, while we 'only' have Roma as a top6 team before the new year. Also Rube has Atalanta next , but easier fixtures after.

The main thing I want to address is that we are still making annoying mistakes when it comes to organizing defense and marking. And these mistakes didn't happen that often under Conte or Spalletti. I am all for balls to the wall attacking football, but given the assets at our disposal Inzaghi should really be struggling less with this aspect, especially given the foundation these players have.

How the fuck do you leave Mertens alone and unmarked for a cross with no Inter player in a 5 meter radius around him... and do it twice?

Yeah that's a good observation. We can't keep up the high octane football for 90 mins. I guess Conte realized this and decided to go for the ultra-defensive counter-attacking (when it's suited). If we can find a solution for this, we gonna be a team very hard to beat.

Agree to some extent, but I think there are gradients, and we have to distinguish between being prone to concede goals in those situations and just knowing 100% we are gonna concede like it is now, especially in bigger games.

With all the faults this team has, the goal should be to at least not make it inevitable.

I cannot overstate how impressed I was watching Darmian live. The guy did not stop running for a second, and was calm and collected in every situation he found himself in.

I wanted to mention this as well! He looked really in form, knowing exactly what to do and performing it.

Matteo Darmian was the standout performer in a good team display by Inter as they defeated Napoli 3-2

The 31-year-old received a solid 7.5/10 grade in the player ratings for the match published in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Darmian put in a high-energy display on both sides of the ball, which included a significant role in the move that led to the penalty from which the Nerazzurri equalized as well as an important late block to preserve the win.

Meanwhile, captain Samir Handanovic was also given the same score of 7.5/10 for a fine display which was capped off with a spectacular save on a Mario Rui header late on as the Partenopei chased an equalizer.

The likes of Milan Skriniar, Andrea Ranocchia, Ivan Perisic, Marcelo Brozovic, Lautaro Martinez, and Hakan Calhanoglu were also commended for their performances and received 7/10 grades, as did coach Simone Inzaghi.

Only second-half substitutes Arturo Vidal and Edin Dzeko were given mediocre grades for their performances, with 5.5/10 and 5/10 scores respectively.

In the case of Dzeko in particular, the striker’s role in giving the ball away for Napoli’s second goal was particularly highlighted, while the newspaper suggested that his overall performance was not the help to his team in possession that was hoped for.

Rano and especially Darmian performances just prove how Italians do age like fine wine.

I watched again our first half performance,imagine we can play like this for 90 minutes.We never played under Conte like this.We were playing like top tier european team from 20 to 70 minutes. Big shit is that our subs are not that good that we can continue playing like this whole game.And we lack Hakimi and Lukaku to kill opponent with counter attack.We need to get rid of Gags,Vecinos and similar crap,this team can be really great,but we have fkn Sunning.Its a shame.I like the way we play this season,problem is,with this fkn schedule with so many games,NT crap,our first eleven players just cant play the whole time,our subs are shite.Shame,we are really playing good football when our starting eleven is on pitch,we just need that little push to go further more.One top DM will be great for a start,and of course,keep Brozo next season.
