For once, Inzaghi made the right subs. Lukaku, Gosens and Brozo were all significant upgrades and changed the game. And obviously the second yellow on Otavio made a difference.

Not an ideal performance and the tie definitely still could go either way but a morale booster nonetheless. The 2nd leg in Porto will be a battle.

Do you guys think the pitch of Meazza getting worse in every games? It could be part of reason our midfielders losing ball many times. Last night Hakan was struggle in some situations to keep balance and sliding when took turn.

Lukaku's low-cross was difficult to be reached unless you are a Haaland or "out of this world" pacy striker. I don't mean to complain over Lukaku's pass, but seriously Lautaro did his best to reach it, and he couldn't in the end.

We didn't even create any real chance last night. You guys gotta chill and be realistic when judging players' performance. Not everything has to come out of emotion right away.

We are all frustrated, but this wasn't one of these matches while we missed golden opportunities like other times we do in the league.
Not saying Lautaro had a bad game, but he was late on the cross on open nets.

at least , I'm happy with Lukaku's goal, 50 % of my prediction.

We defeated them the last time we played in 2004/2005. The difference is we don't have Adriano anymore where we could kick the ball in his general direction and the goal came out of nowhere  Now we only have a slender lead and a bunch of wasteful strikers.
I vividly remember watching that second leg live on TV before heading to school for the day.

I vividly remember Maniche playing for Porto that game and three years later we signed him on loan. Maniche is a 2008 Scudetto winner with Inter. He even scored against Juventus (in a 1-2 loss).

Logically that's the routine, because it gets overplayed and gets worse as the time goes. This is one of the reasons I hope we get our own stadium (in 50 years!), because the same might happen even if we leave GM and build and share a new stadium with Milan.
