Our club needs to remember that we have a far more important match in Firenze this weekend. Hopefully we aren't gonna sacrifice points of that game for sake of this.

esp with the win vs arsenal, though, it would be great if we can go through top 8.

Absolutely, but I'm afraid our team isn't built to challenge in CL and Serie A aswell.

We're built to win Serie A with relative ease if we decide to abandon further advancement in the CL, but we can't afford that financially. So we'd rather progress to quarter-finals (for example) in the CL and finish third in Serie A (not me personally but the club's management/owners 100% would this).

Inzaghi's cautious and dilligent approach in the CL compared to his usual ultra-attacking philosophy in Serie A low key proves this. Serie A is for having fun for the players as long as they finish top4 and the CL is getting up in 6 am and going to work for them lol.

Don't have one.

I legit think inzaghi cares more about the league, while players care more about cl. That's how it looks to me from the interviews and some of the decisions made. It's probably on some unconscious level as well, doubt it's deliberate from the players. I already talked about how his setup defensively speaking is so reliant on players motivation and intensity, it's basically all on players, it's not like conte where it's almost all system.

Hence, now you have two competitions where in one we leak goals like crazy and another where we didn't even concede yet. That tells me dicks are getting harder when they hear cl anthem as supposed to whatever that thing is before seria a matches
I really doubt that's on coach or his different approach in cl.

I’m sure he’ll end up proving me wrong, but thus far Inzaghi is handling rotation excellently.

I genuinely think prioritising getting two more wins in the CL is also prioritising the league, because we really don’t want that extra knock out round in the middle of Feb/March.

Its a must win. We need 7 or 8 points to reach top 8, so this is a big match for us. Play Correa, Asslani vs Fiore I dont care about that.

We're facing Leipzig at a difficult time for them. They have been in poor form, even in the league now. They're coming from a chaotic defeat in El Plastico where they were outplayed by a struggling Hoffenheim. Just 1 point in the last 3 league games.

They are having many absentees. Xavi Simons, Raum, Klostermann, Elmas (ex Napoli). But they still have some dangerous players in Nusa, Openda and Sesko. We can't affford to be complacent.

They usually play with Rose favorite 4-4-2 but lately he has switched to 3-4-3 in an attempt to turn things around. If they stick to back 3 i expect them to play like this:

Gulácsi - Geertruida, Orbán, Lukeba - Henrichs, Vermeeren, Haidara, Nusa - Baumgartner, Openda, Šeško

While Henrichs is a natural fullback Nusa is naturally a winger who is used as a wingback with all the goods and bads that entails. Very dangerous in attacking third with good end product and creativity but also a defensive liability. Sesko looks uncomfortable on the wing which is a positive. We need to target Lukeba's side who's the typical young French cb. Fast, athletic, good passer but he's often caught out of position.

If they go back to 4-4-2 it will be more like this:

Gulácsi - Geertruida, Orbán, Lukeba, Henrichs - Baumgartner, Vermeeren, Haidara, Nusa - Openda, Šeško

Certainly a winnable game and defence is their main weakness but we need to be careful with their high press and their fast and fluid movement in attack.
