We still haven't played a top team in form so far. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Man City has been ass this season. They lost to Sporting and tied to Feyenoord.

City was the old City when they faced us and they didn't miss a single player. I know it's now the time to shit on City but that game was a month and a half before their crisis even began so let's not revise things.

They had 5/5 wins before we played them and after that game 6 wins and 2 draws out of 8 games before they started losing these past 30 days. It's on 30th October City lost their first game this season (a cup game at that) which only speaks how crazy and unexpected their crisis is. Our game vs them is played during their prime.

just don't get why Inzaghi keeps benching players who might have caught their momentums? Why not give Correa a second chance in a row?

I dont like how we look last 20,25 minutes when we play in CL. Same thing can be said in Seria A too, when we play vs stronger teams. Performance of squad drops rapidly and this is becoming custom thing this season. I think it has nothing to do with subs cause last night Thuram and Mhiki came in and we looked the same. We look tired and gassed after 65 minutes.

Seems slightly churlish to moan when the team is top of the table and well-placed to easily achieve top eight qualification, but I'm thinking it looks like another season when Inter will reach the round of 16 or Quarter-Finals and exit to any half decent side because they take their chances more efficiently than our misfiring attack. This campaign has been all about the defence so far and that can't last.

Last night was the familiar story of midfielders and full-backs getting service into the attack that was not quite right - poorly paced, a yard or two off where they would want it - and then the strikers constantly struggling to get the ball out of their feet and into a position they can get a shot off. I look at Retegui (a player I don't really rate) and he looks like prime era Shevchenko compared to anything we can field at the moment.

Questions have been increasingly raised about the absolute lack of danger to goal that Taremi offers and, almost as if he is aware of this, in the opening 5 minutes he hit a really pathetic shot from an awkward position which trundled through to the keeper and caused him to fall over as his body position was all wrong in the first place. Then there was the meek header in the second-half in what was essentially just another earnest performance chasing down opponents with limited success. Lautaro put in a decent defensive shift too, but he too looked utterly unthreatening again.

But a weird game in which Inter dominated the ball for the first 70 minutes of the game and yet looked even less threatening than they did against Arsenal when their opponents had most of the ball.

This last 10-15 minutes were similar to Arsenal. In one hand it all was looking under control, but in the other we gave them the possesion completely. I don't know, i don't think either had CLEAR chances. Sommer had 2 good saves and not much. We gotta admit our defending is the best in Europe tho.

No way it was similar. Leipzig didn't do shit, Arsenal at least crossed non stop like Candreva's era Inter. Not to forget last night we scored a clear goal at the end that the dumb ref whistled foul so it couldn't even go to VAR.

Defending vs Arsenal's attack I agree was much greater a threat than that of Leipzig so I get the strategy. But I always favor attacking. I cannot stand watching my club turtle. Sometimes you can just feel that equalizer, even when it's not coming.

So strange to see people asking for more Correa. I feel like I have landed in an alternate universe somehow.
the guy's technique is on some good level, he is not weak physically either. On a good day, he can show some world-class performance. He needs a mental boost and a regular football would probably do the trick. He is not completely washed out, not irredeemable...at least not Schelotto or Barboza irredeemable.

Just people having short memories. You're as good as your last match. Correa is having one good match in ages and people are suddenly asking for more Correa. Next time he's shit we will be back to normal. :D

Well, except Thuram, our whole attack suck big time so I can understand people wanting even fkn Correa to play.

I'd rather play more Taremi or more Lautaro and get them get into form. Play Correa when our players need to rest.

Schelotto scored at a derby. Correa.. well, let's say that he did nothing appart from scoring against Verona (in his debut + last week). Sorry to say this but it's hard for me to not compare him with our trash players that we had in the past. He already had enough chances before going to Marseille and all he did was doing some barbecue for the team.

I don't know how to debate with people who only care about stats and can't evaluate a player's abilities based on other key attributes. I just have to agree with you. Cheers
