Some stats from Inter's website:
This is the 165th fixture between these two sides in Italy's top division. The all-time form book puts Inter ahead on 70 victories to 47, with 47 draws as well.

The most frequent scoreline between these two teams in league encounters is 0-0, which has happened 20 times (most recently at the Stadio Olimpico in March 2014).

Roma have silenced the San Siro only 14 times in the history of Serie A, but have emerged victorious in four of their last ten league encounters against Inter here. The Nerazzurri have won 43 times in this fixture at home, while 25 draws account for the rest (82 games between the two in Milan).

Roma have finished the game with ten men in four of the last eight Serie A matches between these two sides played at the San Siro (two wins, one draw and one loss).

Roberto Mancini's team have picked up five 1-0 wins since the start of the season. No other team has registered more than three victories with this scoreline.

Until now, no team has ever won the Scudetto after only managing ten goals or less in the opening ten Serie A fixtures

Roma go into this match on the back of five back-to-back victories, their longest winning streak since April 2014 when it stretched to nine.

The Giallorossi have registered 25 goals in their first ten games this season. Roma have been more prolific in Serie A only once in their history, when they notched 26 goals over the same period of games in 1960/61.

Roma have struck 12 times in the opening 45 so far, more than Inter have managed overall.

Inter and Verona are the only teams not to have found the back of the net in the first half hour of play.

The Giallorossi have conceded five strikes in the final 15 minutes, no other team has let in more during this period.

Garcia's players are the deadliest in Serie A from dead-ball situations, having scored eight times.

Twelve different players have got themselves on the score sheet for Roma this season, more than any other club in Europe's top five leagues.

The Giallorossi are the only side this season not to have dropped points from winning situations, going home with three points in all seven matches where they've taken the lead first.

Seriously, "Guarin out - JZ4 in" to help Santon against Gervinho (plus Salah)
One day ago

Superstitious post, you never know which version of Guarin will show up.

Their midfield is going to eat ours alive. Our chance relies on a superb defensive performance and an inform Handanovic.

Which is the reason to why this sport could learn something from for example the Rugby World Cup and the NFL. Imagine if you had one or two qualified people sitting in a box somewhere watching the match like we do and will be able to tell the referee within few seconds if the penalty was correctly awarded, if the player shouldn't have been booked, if the goal was scored onside ect. I'm not talking about commercial breaks and decisions that have to take more than 10 seconds multiple times in the match. Instead has UEFA decided to place these two people right next to the goals but I rarely see them do anything at all not even when they have seen a clear fault.

There is a gigantic pressure on the referees with the amount of cash circulating in football and I don't think the condition they are working under is fair at all. I'm actually quite tired of reading shit from people about how bad this referee was in this situation and bla bla bla bla. He did his fucking best and wasn't biassed in anyway. Accept his job and be thankful that you haven't decided to be a referee.

Wouldn't be using the rugby world cup as an example...Just think scotland vs australia and the decision that knocked scotland out of the quarter finals...

Inter break the deadlock after win against Bologna and I hope Nerazzuri will prove their best. AS Rome is very strong and firm. Pjanic, Salah and Gervinho scored 15 goals but Icardi, Perisic and Jovetic only 8: https://sporticos.com/en/2015-10-31/34435-match-inter-milan-vs-as-roma During the last 62 meetings, Inter have won 24 times, but AS Rome only 18 times. Goal difference is 104-93 in favour of Inter Milan. It's worth to add that Nerazzuri won 2-1 in last season at San Siro. Owing to these facts, I'm sure that FC Inter will grab 3 points.

I hope we start with 4 midfielders... we need that extra man to match the quality of Roma's 3 midfielders. That is where this game could be decided. Maybe something like:

Jovetic
Ljajic - Brozovic
Kondogbia - Medel - Guarin
Juan - Murrillo - Miranda - Santon
Handanovic

We can always bring on Perisic, Icardi or Biabiany from the bench in the 2nd half to mix things up.

I like the formation. But preferred if Guarin started instead of Brozovic. Yes, Guarin is inconsistent but I think we are all a bit pessimistic about this game. If Guarin did badly it won't be a big deal since we are pretty much expected to lose. If Guarin did well, then we might have a chance of winning this.

Don't get too excited. It's just a predicted formation like every other one posted on this thread.

Inter guarantees a goal a game (but not much more than that), and Roma guarantees conceding goals every game.
Roma also guarantees scoring goals every game, while our defense concedes very few when not on a mental breakdown (fiorentina).
This will be a cracker to watch, plenty of goals are going to come if we counter well, we might come out on top. We can finally be banging in some more goals too. I predict a 3-2 victory for us.
