Even with our midfield injury crisis I still fully expect a win at home vs Roma.

We have no option but to play the same midfield that started against Prague: Valero as the central CM and Brozovic moving to the left.

Not sure what our flanks will look like but I expect Candreva and Biraghi to start. He wasn’t great against SPAL but Lazaro would be fine too. Basically D’Ambrosio is my lowest preference because he poses the least attacking threat of all our WB’s. With our best midfielders missing, we need weapons to hurt Roma elsewhere, out wide for example. Vecino guaranteed to play means we should be trying to get good crosses into the box too.

I am half expecting a baptism of fire for Agoume, but more realistically if we’re going to see any ‘drastic’ changes it’ll be one of Asamoah or Candreva as the CMs. Might be worth trialling it for at least a little bit before the Barca game.
