That was supposed to be the goal of this year's transfer market, but we did not make any moves other than Jiminez. It's funny how Jiminez has always been in the pre-season with the team, and he was NOT used in this game.

I for one do not have complete faith in Jiminez, because he did not displayed much to show his capabilities of leading the team's attack without Zlatan. That leaves Figo, who arguably had a better game than some of our other midfielders, cannot play every single game in this entire season.

I don't know how everyone believes Jiminez is the man to take charge of our midfield, to take charge of the flow of our game, but I think it's time to look for a new AM sooner than later.

Our midfield let us down tonight. Dejan was clearly recovering (he struggled with a fever before the game), Vieira wasn't good, even Capitano didn't do much.

Our defence did very good, Cordoba was sharp apart for one mistake, Burdisso was good, too bad about the penalty incident, Chivu did very good IMO and Matrix was the best player on the pitch.

Zlatan and Suazo have lots of potential, they didn't get the service tonight.

Roma deserved the win, we just have to keep our head down and keep working. Disappointed but after all we won 2 Supercoppa in a row, tonight was Roma's night. Well done to them.

Burdisso's penalty foul was a pretty dumb move by him, in my opinion Zanetti should've started at right back. But overall I am a bit disappointed it wasn't a good performance we had some chances but posession wise we sucked but we did indeed have a few good chances but without the wing backs we were nothing. We can't attack with only the SWAT team or we will get squashed if Zanetti was maybe put as RB he could've caused some movements forward. Oh and btw Chivu was pretty good today...

He was owned big time at RB ... as he is whenevr he plays WB ... his lack of spped is exposed time and again. Also the fact that, that he has no idea as how to distribute the ball when he has the ball. Roma practically attacked down our right hand side all match.
