By the way, last season against Sassuolo at their home, we played almost the same line-up (no Brozo, Hakimi and Lukaku) and trashed them 3-0.

Handanovic, Bastoni, Skriniar, De Vrij, Perisic, Gagliardini, Barella, Vidal, Darmian, Lautaro, Sanchez started back then.

This is so fucking embarresing
Indeed. It`s like we wanted to raise the transfer market value of our targets...

We've give up. Look at our disgusting body language
You could tell this right from the start! Team lacked ambition/motivation/grit! Instead of taking that 1st place back, they went for a Sunday jogging...

It`s not the first time players don`t give their all while playing during the day and don`t get the result... is it something to do with prime-time, playing at Champions League hour?

Winning this scudetto will be not dissimilar to Italy's euro title last year, a title won with virtually no strikers delivering.
Juve (Dybala-Vlahovic), Milan (Ibra-Rebic), Napoli (Insigne-Osimhen), Atalanta (Malinovsky-Zapata),Sassuolo, hell even fucking Roma whose one Tammy fucking Abraham has same amount of goals and one assist more than Lautaro - these are all better striker teams than those of our own. We are effectively power-walking a marathon with one shoe.

And to add insult to injury, Sassuolo is now cemented again as Inter's dark horse. And it took us years to undo that mental handicap last time.

Even with yesterday shitshow we are still in good position, with that extra game we go on top and Napoli - Milan game is coming in two weeks time. Scudetto is still in our hands.

Napoli still has to play - Lazio (a), milan (h), Verona(a), Udinese(h), Atalanta(a), Fiorentina(h), Roma(h), Sassuolo(a), Torino(a)

We are still on easiest schedule without doubt. Hopefully players will get some refreshment (physically and mentally) this week, they really need it.

Lautaro was a lion with Big Rom

Now he's a kitten without Big Rom

Dimarco also was a disgrace as a cb. He should never play at that position

Our players were too busy wanking themselves off from "competing" with Liverpool that they thought this was a formality.

The worst thing is, all weekend I said we are losing this game. It was so painfully obvious and these fucks still went out at 10% concentration.

Problem is that Dzeko also drops back a lot but does not get a defender on him. So now Lautaro has to run for a 2nd striker and also be marked by an extra player when we receive possession.

Don't have one.
Bergomi: "To explain today's defeat you have to go back to January 9. From January 9 to February 20 Inter played 10 games, 8 of which against other big teams, and without much turnover. And now they are paying for it, they are really tired "

Bergomi take on last night loss. Let's just hope he is right, and it's about simple exhaustion and not inzaghiball falling apart or summer business catching up to us...

Fucking absolutely pathetic. Crisis inter, we've arrived.
It was a tough month and I badly miss Pintus.
Did the WINTER curse come back after Conte ? :yao:
1 month later than our usual pre-Conte schedule.

Inter forward Alexis Sanchez did not reward the faith shown in him by being started against Sassuolo in yesterday’s disastrous 2-0 Serie A defeat.
The 33-year-old was identified as one of the Nerazzurri’s worst players in an overall poor team display in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who called his performance “more like a kitten than a lion.”

Sanchez was started in his usual role of second striker, but nothing seemed to come off for the Chilean who looked far from being one of the Nerazzurri’s form players as he had in some recent matches.

The Corriere gave Sanchez a score of just 4/10 in their player ratings for the match, the same grade given to Lautaro Martinez who was similarly toothless and ineffective in the final third when his team were desperate for a goal.

Captain Samir Handanovic was also given just a 4.5/10 score for his display, with the way he let Giacomo Raspadori’s opener for the Neroverdi roll through his legs particularly noted, but almost no Inter players got positive scores.

The likes of Milan Skriniar, Ivan Perisic, and Denzel Dumfries were noted as the rare bright spots in a mostly inadequate display, with the latter even given a respectable 6.5/10 grade for his efforts after coming on at halftime.
Don`t understand why Inzaghi keeps starting, he needed to wake the fuck up weeks ago!

Ex-Serie A Referee Graziano Cesari: “Sassuolo’s Opener Against Inter Should’ve Been Ruled Out For Foul On Hakan Calhanoglu”

Former Serie A referee Graziano Cesari feels that Inter were unfortunate to have had Sassuolo’s first goal against them stand yesteday evening.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, the former official gave the view that Nerazzurri midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu had been fouled in the buildup to the goal and wondered why VAR did not intervene to disallow the goal.

The Neroverdi’s approach was clear in the first half as they aimed to seize on loose passes and touches and quickly break forward once they won the ball to create chances.

Domenico Berardi won the ball off of Calhanoglu in midfield to set the Neroverdi away on the attacking move which resulted in the first goal of the game for Giacomo Raspadori, though the Nerazzurri appealed for a foul on the midfielder.

In the view of Cesari, the Sassuolo winger had gone through Calhanoglu to win possession of the ball, and the goal should not have counted.

“Inter’s appeals on the occasion of Raspadori’s goal were very strong,” he said. “Calhanoglu got kicked through from by, it’s clear that the referee must stop the action and award a free kick to the Nerazzurri there.”

“If the referee doesn’t do it then the VAR must intervene to correct the decision,” he continued. “Fourneau had Frattesi in front of him, so he didn’t have a good view of the contact. Where was the VAR?”

He also said of the late disallowed goal from Inter that “VAR was correct, because the ball had struck the arm of Dimarco.”

I seem to remember hoping for the VAR to intervene on that one.

Relying on VAR to help us win is pathetic.

We have to get the job done ourselves otherwise we should pack up and go home.
