Hopefully Lukaku has his shit together again. He’s been far from the omnipotent demigod we’ve come to expect these past few games.

Admittedly the players around him haven’t been their best, but when Lukaku’s on, our entire attack has a much easier time.

What’s more, they were up by two goals in the 76th minute. Torino are really holding on against relegation.

We actually play them on Saturday thankfully. No excuses (unless we get more fucking covid positives)

No excuses here. This is exactly the type of team we're set up to smack-- a team that tries to play open, attacking football and isn't very good at it.

Handa positive. 2 weeks of international break incoming, so it shouldn't be much of a problem, however I don't know how Radu plays with his feet and we tend to build up from our own box so I am curious whether Conte will ask Radu to strictly play long-balls without any short passes to the defenders.

Conte would rather shoot himself in the dick than change his gameplan by even 1%.

Handa is subpar with his feet in comparison to modern standards. Dude can't play football for shit. There's no way a 20 something year old pro goalkeeper is worse than him im actually playing with his feet.

I think that half of our first eleven will be covid positive till Saturday. Good thing is that NT break is coming.

I read a number of days ago that the squad tested negative but positive tests have since followed for D'Ambrosio and Handanovic. This morning, I read that our squad was tested again and that the results should be available tomorrow (Thursday in Italy).

Do not expect this game to be easy. Handanovic is important for us and there are times when he often steps up and makes crucial saves that ensure we maintain our lead and stop the game from becoming complicated. I am not sure if we will have this luxury with Radu in goal. The last game I remember him playing was for Genoa in December 2019 when we beat them 4-0. The team playing in front of him were shit and I feel that our attacks and the goals we scored were like waves that he was helpless to save.

He was really bad prior to Spalletti. I remember thinking how the fuck are we going to build from the back with the likes of Miranda and Handanovic. To his and Spalletti's credit though, Handanovic made a remarkable development in his ball skills really quickly. To improve by that much, at that late stage in his career, was truly shocking.

Also, I think you're overestimating how many good ball-playing keepers are out there. And youth in itself doesn't mean much either. Donnarumma is arguably the best young keeper in the world but is still atrocious with his feet. Highly rated young keepers like Meret and Strakosha were established first choice players for their teams but are both benched in favor of older guys like Ospina and Reina who are better on the ball.

Handanovic might not be at a Neuer, Ederson, Allison or Ter Stegen level in this regard, but "subpar" is very harsh. I think he's extremely solid as a ball-playing keeper. It's kind of like the difference between Bastoni and Skriniar - Bastoni is more naturally comfortable with the ball and this is clearly visible when you see his movement. Skriniar on the other hand looks awkward and uncomfortable on the ball. But while he might lack that "natural" finesse of Bastoni, he's obviously extremely well practiced and reliable.

The real question is: who wears the armband for this one? My money is on Brozovic.
