Im pretty sure this place was super toxic with mancini and mourinho too. I remember people wanting mourinho to get fired in pre season 09/10 after some friendly losses

I'm basically in this forum, and then in another spanish forum of sports in general, and there is way more hardcore than here insulting players and all.

I would even say we are pretty soft here. Plus there are many guys overrating players like Dzeko, Vidal, Perisic etc..
The hate Vecino and Gagliardini have here, is normal. What i don't understand is why they get so much love from Italian fans there in Italy.

This is a legacy from the banter era. People are cautious about every success because they expect to crumble soon after, and I don't blame them. At least here is not boring.
Nah well before the banter era. Its an interisti mentality. Never been on an inter forum where this isn't the case.

Sports forums would be a snooze if they were a bunch of fans jerking off about how great their teams and players are.
This is such a hyperbole, not a good argument.

We also need to take the context of yesterday match into consideration. We have done jack shit in CL in the last 10 years. We returned to CL after a 6 year absence and we had 3 consecutive failures in group stage. On top of that, we were facing a team we had failed to score against in the last 3 matches. So when people were watching our forwards missing shitters they feared more of the same. The negativity was undestandable to some extent. In the past people had put faith in this team and they were let down so it will take some time for some people to trust Inter in CL again.

By the way, as same of the boys here, lost a bit with the qualification. 120€ to be more precise.
In the next round i will double my bet. So basically i will make 500€ or we will win THE CL.

Unfortunately this is the case. It's some kind of self-protection mechanism in people, to protect themselves from the disappointment or something. Constant fucking moaning, attention to all the little faults what players do etc.

I guess I've been just like that some day, but I've grown out of that luckily. It's just easier living when you think more positively.
It is 100% a protective reflex. 1/2 years of good football and a scudetto is not enough to undo the footballing trauma of 2012/13 onwards

I’m mostly calm and relatively good natured towards football and Inter, but like 90% of people I was screaming for Dzeko to come off last night after the first half. But that’s why I’m not on the Inter bench I guess 🤷‍♂️

I like this forum, and for a lot of us it is a place to vent. Unfortunately, interisti are, by nature, wildly pessimistic and reactionary. We’ve just been shaped that way by watching these black-and-blue clad idiots run after a ball for years.

Anyway, we were really good yesterday. Ranocchia continues to impress, I’m very happy for him.

I'm really falling in love with how this team plays the ball, the movement off the ball and our ability to create chances. We create so much that we seem wasteful in front of goal, but we're the top team for goals in Italy.

Credit to Simone and thank Christ for Beppe Marotta.
