If we put Nainggolan where Vecino is and put Politano up front it would be a lot better. I was trying to be realistic though.

I think as Nainggolan's attacking game has improved that his defensive game has declined. I don't trust him to be able to hold together a two man central midfield. Not that I trust any combination of our midfielders to be able to cope in a midfield two

Winning against Tottenham and then losing against Sampdoria is entirely possible. Losing both matches would be the most Inter thing ever.

If we can allow them most of the possession and play on the counter then i think we can sneak a win here.But if they get to play on the counter and we try and dictate play then we will end up with a 1-3 or a 0-2 kind of defeat where we will keep putting in inane crosses for Icardi till they score the 1st and then Spalletti will take out our midfielders and overload the team with attackers and they will finish us off late on.Spalletti's tactics can only work on the counter imo.


Also irrespective of this game we are definitely losing to PSV with Spalletti in charge.His record in Europe is piss poor and there shouldnt be any doubts that he will struggle to get an EL spot for us.

Yeah, I think it's quite obvious that the only way to score here is on the counter. If Parma can handle our 'tactics', then something tells me Vertonghen-Alderweireld will somewhat manage. :work:

Liverpool today showed how to beat them, but that requires a ST like Firmino. Perisic and Politano will be able to attack their wing-backs like Mane and Salah did but they'll have no reachable target in the middle once they get past them, unless Vecino mistakes them for a Roman team.

0-0 wouldn't particularly surprise me.

Is it? We never really tried that back three and that also means that Candreva is the right wing back. Maybe that means Politano or Keita will start near Icardi instead of Perisic.

Brozo-Nainggolan-Vecino in midfield? Or is it Perisic on the left and Asamoah in the middle? Fuck this UEFA roster limits... It's as if they hate their own product. They'd never do this to Milan, Liverpool, Man Utd or Real Madrid though.

Even though i hate that formation i hope we switch to a back 3 against Tottenham. The thought of Skriniar playing as a RB and going against Lucas makes me shiver. Anyway, i have a feeling Spalletti will go with the lineup Kenny suggests.
