Hi,

Spurs fan here.

I just wanted to ask some information in regards to the game in two weeks time. I unfortunately (like thousands of others) did not manage to secure a ticket through the club due to not having enough loyalty points and have had to buy my ticket for the game through other sources. I understand we have taken up 5000 tickets, with an estimated 12000 fans travelling to Milan.

The first question I would like to ask is in regards to the ticket I have purchased. This is in the third red ring tier of the ground. Could you please tell me if this is a 'safe' place to watch the match? I have also read on other sites that this section is a neutral section and could actually be shut on the night. This is obviously a problem for myself if this is true. could anyone shed any light on this?

The other question I would like to ask is about the ID card needed to get into the ground. The ticket will have my passport number and name on. Will the stewards only accept my passport to gain access to the ground?

I look forward to visiting your city and I hope it is a cracking game!

any replies will be much appreciated!

This is a safe place, no Inter fans will be there for this match because Inter does'nt sell tickets for that section for CL matches.

You need to present your passport. Usually you can find some less strict guard if you keep trying the different gates but just to be on the safe site take the passport with.

I don't think any section will be shut that only happens if they suspect the game is high risk. Don't spurs and inter fans have know issues.

The red section should be fine. Its the section where the vip tribuna is located so don't think there will be any issues close to there.

Also welcome to our forum.

Hi, thanks for your replies. much appreciated!

I was a bit worried after getting tickets off a website and others saying this section is shut. I guess I will have to wait until the night to find out.

How is your season going?

Have you taken to Rafa yet?

Welcome!

You can read more about tickets or directions to the Meazza in this thread.

With regards to your seating location, the red section should obviously still be filled with Interisti mostly but it is not a sector where the hardcore fans are located. They are located on the Curvas, which is at the end of the goal post. Red section is on the length of the pitch.

With regards to the passport thing, I don't think you need to worry about the ID. I'm a foreigner myself with no fan ID and I only had a slight, minuscule problem going inside the stadium. They asked me to go through a specific gate (Can't remember which one) when I tried to enter the stadium from wherever gate was closest to where I came from.

Hope you have fun. :) Even though your team will be beaten. :)

Its going ok. Would liked to win the euro super cup but so far I think rafa has done a decent job. Its quite divided here concerning rafa thought.

Very important match. We absolutely must win this as the match at White Hart Lane will be difficult for us, for sure! Winning this and then winning Twente at home seals our qualification. It's up to away matches against Spurs and Werder which determines if we win the group. Winning Werder away should do it even if we lose Spurs away.

Record would be like this: 1-3-3-0-3-3 => 13 points

Pretty sure group winner stats, unless Spurs do the same (including home win against Werder and away win against Twente).

It's always difficult to win in England, but if Rafa tries something different, we can win this one too, hopefully...

Rafa has played Spurs enough times to know what they are about. I'm sure he will tell our players what to do and what not to do. I'm actually more confident about CL matches, dont know why.

we did win in england vs. Chelsea ;)

Nothing is imposible my friends, it will be hard, but not imposible... I think Maicon can excell at RB and whoever plays there too, since i dont rate Assou-Ekotto very highly... He has brainfarts from time to time, although he is decent player...

I am mostly affraid from Bale, and Defoe... Our current formation with high defensive line AND slow defenders makes us vanurable against pacey strikers, and Defoe is one of them.. If Lennon plays, than even worse...

Rafa is good tactician though, i think he will realise this and will play our defenders deeper, or mark Defoe, Lennon and Bale closely...

Plus, Dawson and Gallas are injured, Woodgate since always... I dont know if they will make it for the game, but even if they do, they wont be in their 100%, so our strikers, especially Etoo should benefit from this...

ANother advantage for us is VDV, he is suspended for the next game... Another plus...

PS: Oups, i just read that Defoe is out till december, great news for us... :D
So, if we lose this, id eat myself ffs... I am happy with a draw tbh, but we can also win.. I'd say its 50-50...

Modric. Bale. and their general high-tempo game.

If we can keep the above from troubling us, then we have a chance at winning both games. Best part is being English they will under-rate us as usual so we can use that in our favor as we arent really slow when we counter.

I don't see it happening that anyone would under-rate the current CL champions. At least not a second-tier club would do that.

Gomes had been going back to his debut season fuck-ups recently and crosses and corners our ours if we come withing 5 meters of him he'll drop it. Although our corners the last day were woeful, need to take a good advantage of that.

Corluka
will be in line with their CB alot more than attacking but can be prone to the odd marking fail. Usually solid but Hutton impressed recntly and if he plays at any time he's fresh and his pace could be difficult to control
King I'm assuming he'll make this game, EPL games depending. Solid CB and he'll be very important to them. Strong and if Milito's playing he'll eat him for breakfast.
Dawson/Bassong Depending on if both fit then Dawson plays, similar to King but put him under pressure and he'll struggle to keep it, great in the air. If it's Bassong then we're in luck ;)
Assou-Ekotto Average fullback, provides the balls for Bale though and very prone to switching off in games and becomes invisible often. Maicon could dominate easily here.

Lennon Pace,Pace and more Pace. Chivu will struggle unless he stays close to him as he could be getting many crosses in to Crouch which could fuck us, hasn't hit it much this year but always a threat.
Huddlestone Will have to play in the holding role if partnered with Modric but if they're playing safe then Palacios could be his partner and he gets his range of passing coming off for him to Bale and Lennon.
Modric Without Van der Vaart then he'll be the creative spark, depending on what strikers are available then he could be CM or playing off the striker. Dangerous player and a hard-worker. Danger-man./Palacios if he's CM instead then he's just the Muntari of Spurs, check our shin guards are re-inforced.
Bale Give him space or hit him on the counter attck and he'll fuck us badly, strenght, pace and the energy of a 6 year old on crack, hits a mean cross too but is comfortable cutting in and having a crack. Maicon has his work cut out.

Crouch The only striker I'm 100& sure will start. You all know him really, the main tactic is a long-ball to him so Lucio needs to be there for those to watch flick-ons too.Decent touch on him too but shouldn't be too much trouble if he has the ball on the ground, quite weak too.
Pavlyuchenko If Defoe's fit then it'll be him but looks more likely to be Pav, when he's confident he's difficult to contain, typical #9 .

Most likely

-Gomes-
-Corluka-Dawson-King-Assou-Ekotto-
-Lennon-Huddlestone-Palacios-Bale-
- - - - -Modric-
- - - -Crouch

More attcking option
Lennon-Huddlestone-Modric-Bale
-Pav-Crouch
Alternative

Should be a great game, we have to look out if we have another high-defensive line their direct play and counter attacks could be very dangerous to Samuel-Lucio.
The majority of their team is unexperienced at this level but will definately be up for a scrap if we try one.

At home I'm confident of a win so I'll go with a 2-0 Eto brace and no injuries and a nice 3 points. we'll be glad of it going to White-Heart Lane.

I would really want santon/jz at lb to deal with lennon. Chivu isn't upto the task of dealing with pacy wingers.

yeah..JZ would rape Lennon if he plays as a LB..but it would be a tough job for Chivu cause he is a CB and slow for a LB.
