Just because they are as toothless as we are doesn't make it a good, acceptable half. Something needs to be done. Clueless attacking, waiting for the opponent to make a mistake won't cut the deal.

Here are my subs:

- Pazzini out Milito in
- Zanetti out Alvarez in
- 65'-70' Obi out Coutinho in

A draw here would be nothing less than a loss.

We had one.. The best one. He is now playing in Russia.

lol, don't worry zarete will show better skills he just needs to calm down and eventually he will be a forward like eto'o who can force 3 defenders to have to defend him while other players on team get open, zarete shows potential just have to be a little more calm

Zanetti has done good things defensively. However, Trabzonspor isn't offering much going forward, unless we lose the ball recklessly, which we have been doing with alarming regularity causing Zanetti to intercept and interact with attackers, still Alvarez would be an adventurous angle, but Assp doesn't have the testicular fortitude to displace the Capitan.

doesn't matter who we bring in in midfield. For 4-3-1-2 to work, we need forwards who constantly move and/or who can hold the ball up. We have neither.

I'm personally satisfied. We completely shut them down something that didn't happen against any team since Gasp arrived. The defense is deep and solid as ever. We are struggling in the final third mainly because Zanetti is completely lost in the middle and Sneijder is getting 0 support. Zarate has also been average at best and simply cant deliver that extra quality. Considering we are short on options in both those positions there's not much to do maybe introduce Milito for Zarate later on, however the midfield is as good as it gets without Motta or Deki.

As long as we keep them quit we could eventually get a goal. We had a couple of half chances so I hope something will open somewhere. IMO a huge improvement over what we done in pre-season and our official first game.

SE SALTELLI....
pass sideways....

pass sideways....

pass sideways.....

loose the ball!

Thas how much of the first half went. Not until the half an hour mark did we really start to get into the game. The MF again was drab and boring, and even a young and eager Obi couldnt help but give the ball away on numerous occasions. If we have to rely on our CB to be our main inspiration of distribution, then we are going to be in for a long night. There was 0 output from our middle 3, who constantly gave the ball away in easy positions. Its lucky we are facing such a weak, toothless opposition. Any other team would have punished us, and we would be looking at being down by a goal at least.

Theres only so much Sneijder can do, but when the MF trio is so poor, you cant expect him to be in 4 layers at once. We need that link form the defence to the midfield. Theres only so many times lucio can run the ball out of defence by himself, before getting caught out.

Every things seems to be very cautious at the moment. Im really surprised that naga and Johnothan havent gotten into the attack much more. Youd think with 2 defense minded MF infront of you, that gasp woud have told the 2 of them to bomb the flanks. We need as much support as possible for pazzo to score...its not going to happen by it self. Zarate showed signs late in the first half...hopefully he can show some sort of improvement, and help us get on the board. A draw here will be totaly unnacceptable!

Hopefully we see alvarez at the start of the 2nd half....and then if it still dosent work, change to a 4231 and bring the boy wonder cou on. It just aint gonna happen the way we are running shit atm.

No urgency at all in our game. Strange but that could be lack of confidence or just pure laziness!!! We really need to put some pressure on the Turks when on the ball. They are passing the ball around way too easily!
Sneijder again a class of his own despite being placed on the left flank.
One of the few positive aspect of the game is obviously the 4 men defence. No need to worry every time the opponent is having a counter attack.

Sad to say this as we should not really rely on our fans in such a game but it will be good to have CN support in the sec half.

Very hopeless performance so far, although I must admit that slowly we're being improving in the late minutes of first half (especially Zarate) but thats not promising at all. On the other note, Obi has been awful compared to other matches/performances, his passing really sucks tonight, and he did about thousand mistakes in passing. We would've been scoring by now if Pazzo wouldnt waste that golden chance when he was totally free in the little box after the corner kick.

In fact, Zarate's set-pieces (corner kicks) were pretty dangerous, and can say better than Sneijder's ones. I'm not feeling comfortable tbh, our gameplay is looking kinda hopeless so we need any kind of miracle to score since Pazzo doesnt seem on top tonight.

Alright, the second half is gonna start very soon, and I want to see more of Zarate. He showed that he can do something and change in the game.

Forlan would have been useful in this regard

Alas for incompetent management....

Just compare the amount of pressure Inter were in Palermo and today, at least the defence is doing GREAT. Not just ok, but great. And Trabz is not a worse team than Palermo.

Our midfield is horrendous though. I hate to say it, but Zanetti is slowly becoming a noose around Inter's neck if played in midfield. Obi is just missplacing and misstiming passes all over the place.

Zarate is doing ok. He is obviously not fit enough to get past people but his link up play has massively improved. Goal would do wonders for his confidence.

And what's up with GM's pitch guys? Players are slipping up all over the place.

Midfield has been terrible (surprise surprise). Zarate is getting better, Zanetti has been poor. Obi's passing is questionable but his energy is refreshing.

He is in the studio, watching the game with the other analysts.

I'm still bitter over how he left thanks to Benitez and his fucking Amadeo Carboni. I want Lele back and working with Branca like he used to.
