All I see from the game is that we CANNOT keep starting Cordoba. Apart from that, it wasn't too bad. Cruz should have killed the game but he is a lot more clinical than we saw today and we all know that

Well, DaRealest... you say we need luck in CL? Luck hasn't got anything to do with our players having no creativity in away legs of our last two CL knock-out stage games.

I'm not saying we can't win CL or something, but we haven't fixed a thing that has put us out last two times. And by that we go into the CL with huge risk of not making it too far again.

The year before last we didn't have Ibra. He was supposed the help with the creative department but he choked, especially the last match. And Cruz and especially Crespo missed the chances they had. That's mostly what it comes down to for any team in the CL, that and having a fresh squad.

We bought players to fix our defence and Suazo to give our attack some speed. I agree we could use a creative midfielder but we don't have to go crazy just because it didn't happen.;)

This is my point about being tactical.

However, Liverpool (had) luis garcia who was a very creative player and played absolutely brilliantly for them in 05 in europe... most of the european winning sides EVER really had a fairly creative midfielder

Javier Zanetti,
We have creativity in the middle. I keep saying this, but Mancini refused to bring it on in the second half.

His name is Jimenez.

^^ looooooooooooooool, maybe it wasn't intentional, but that sounded alot like a comedic punchline.

DaRealest, we do bring alot of new players, but in positions we don't need much reinforcement in.

Also, God bless JZ, but how many of those runs that you described actually turn into great goal scoring opportunities? It's the quality that counts, not the quantity.

DEJAN DEKI STAN
No Dejan, YOU were " lacking a bit of physical condition ", because you cannot play past the 60th minute. Disappear, give away the ball, and fail to run anymore to support the strikers when we were down to 10 men.

Get on the treadmill fool.

get off the alchohol NEON>>>

what game were you watching????

whats your beef with Dejan,???or are you a Deco lover too??

Javier Zanetti,
No. Actually I love Dejan, and I thank him for the goal today, but he was burnt in the second half. He was clearly struggling. Fresher legs would have helped us, but he wasn't subbed.

I can praise him, but you also need to know when its time to take him off.

Our left back position was probably our weakest link last season so Chivu was a logical buy. Maybe you're right about Zanetti.

Trust me I wouldn't mind a skilled offensive midfielder. In fact I would love it but I just don't see it happening since we decided to keep Figo.

We needed to improve the offensive department of our midfield more than we needed chivu.

Bad prioritising by our management.

It's not that big a deal. It's early in the season and inter controlled the game until Cesar ruined it. They clearly lack match fitness but when vieira, cambiasso and matrix returns and they regain top condition they will be very hard to beat.

Three players ****ed it up for us.

1) Cruz should have finished off the game. He was totally useless today.

2) Cesar handed over the game to Udinese. Retarded.

3) Cordoba didn't do one thing right today and provided udinese with the goal. Cordoba has really been awful for some time now. It's really strange that Cordoba just over a year ago was one of the best defenders in italy. Hope he gets back to his best again soon.

Ibra looked strong and Maicon, Maxwell, Samuel, Zanetti and Figo all played quite well.

I think Cesar made the right decision in handling the ball, sorry I said it but, still he was stupid, and I mean REALLY stupid to rush out of his line like that when the ball was still outside his territory

Javier Zanetti,
Its sad that a world class keeper can make these sort of judgment calls. It was absolutely horrendous. I fear we may have a Lehman on our hands, best bet is Cesar gets injured.

And why is everyone laughing at me when I say Jimenez is a good creator? Has no one seen this man play? He also has a wicked shot.

Didn't even catch the game but I had a feeling we wouldn't beat Udinese. They've probably replaced Chievo as our bogey team. I also had a dream on Saturday night where we got a draw against them. And like most of my dreams (especially the one where I was involved in some 3some action with the Olsen twins) it came true.

I also find it rather bizarre that Mancini opted for Cruz and Cordoba over Suazo and Chivu. Oh well, can't do much except bounce back next weekend against Empoli.

regarding Cesar: ive played with some fukcing good defenders in my time. and even the best of them make the silliest mistakes. Many times ive seen a cross come in or someone shoot and while in the box the defender sticks out a hand to block it like a bastketball as if its just a reaction they could do nothing about...ask them about it later and theyll be pissy and re-iterate over and over they iddnt know what they were doing or why they did it.

i garuntee the same happened to cesar, it was just an unfortunate reaction...that shitty surface normally doesnt generate so much kick off the turf.. but oh well.

Having not seen the game, I find it funny that some say Maxwell had a great game while some say he had an awful one!!!

My feeling is that he had a good one but people want static LB's that don't attack. To me, a perfect fullback is someone like Cafu: Great at going forward and crossing, average at defending but still backtracks. And since we lack creativeness and you win by goals, I'd rather have such fullbacks.

If your CD's have a good positionning sense, then the mistakes of a fullback are absorbed.

those who have maxwell playing a good game obviously have selective memories of how he was beaten time and time again by the same two players

maxwell was hopelessly exposed on defence, when either samuel, or zanetti is dragged away from helping his ass, he couldnt recover which almost always led to a ball across the face of the goal or a short pass to the top of the 18-yard box where udinese fortunately shot wide, or straight at the keeper each time

i am not opposed to seeing chivu at LB rather than CB

or even if that doesnt work out, play zanetti at LB and move chivu into midfield, he was relatively solid subbing for dacourt yesterday and with that left foot can actually throw some decent balls into our forwards unlike maxwell, who's only redeeming quality is like semi-decent dribble, he has no shot, no speed, no agility, and no mental hardness to cope

i dont even know why mancini insists on playing maxwell at LB and zanetti in DM rather than the other way around

its plain to see that maxwell just cant cope, and that his offensive game would be better suited to playing in midfield, not the defense where his defensive incapabilites are exposing inter
