with the current form of teams, Inter should make it easily..

if all their players come back, it should be a bit tougher, but currently...no chance for valencia.

I believe by the end of Feb / beginning of March their injured players will be ready for some serious action. So we should really looking at the draw from that perspective.
Anyway having experienced that lacklustre and utterly disappointed Villareal game last season I would have been content with any team really.

This will be a tough game for you guys. Valencia are a superb team, they just have everyone injured right now. If they can get some players back from injury, id be rather scared of facing them.

------------canizares--------------

miguel----ayala----albiol----moretti/del horno

------baraja------albelda----------

joaquin---------------------vicente

---------villa--------morientes-------

This is without edu and reguiero, who probably wouldnt make the first xi anyway, but theyre out for hte season.
If everyone else recovers on time, thats a potential starting lineup against u guys. Not something id be happy about. they would rape milan, but they can probably beat you too with that lineup.

juaquin vs grosso, and vicente vs jz. Jz wins that, but id pick joaquin in the other one. Baraja and albelda should be able to control stankovic. you'd need to attack thru ur left wing, cos miguel is not the best in defense. ayala/albiol/moretti are all superb.

Pod, on our day we will fukc up nearly anyone let alone a very inconsistent Valencia.

You guys have to believe we ARE different this season, we havent played with such confidence or continuity for a long time. So you have to believe.

however I am very pissed off for not getting an English team, we had a 4/6 chance and we still didnt get them:moan:

Oh btw I have seen one whole game from Valencia and that was when they met Barca at home. Despite the 1-1 result I have to say they were immensely impressive in that game. Might have been a one off game, I don’t know. But if they can play like that with all their injured players back in action then we have to be at our best to beat them.

I saw that game too, and a lot of other valencia games. they have completley llost their way because of injuries. while htey had their first or even second choice players, they were competing with barca.

I hope we get to face that LB Cerra, he phucking terrible, Zlatan would own him then put the ball in off Cerra's face for a goal.

Seriously though Santi is a tough keeper who is going to make it tough for us to score. For me Valencia have two of the best wingers in the game and when on form absolutely devastating.

We are going to have to hope either Valencia either remain injury ridden or they keep their fool of a coach, cause he doesnt seem to know his head from his ass at the moment.

Our main strength is driving down the middle and then distributing out to the wings in the final third. Which might be an advantage for us since Valencia's fullbacks enjoy going forward.

However, on defense we are going to need to smarten up and both Maicon and Grosso are going to have to be ship shape for this one because they are going to be in for a hell of a ride.

Anyway, lets hope we manage to keep our current form and Valencia continue to suck. I still think on even strength this game is going to be a very good tactical game then may not be a joy for the neutral fan but heart wrenching for the supporters of each side.

i was hoping for a english team, but what the heck.......
valencia is as we all know a very tough team.....if they have all of their players back, they are just as good as us....maybe not...
we did good vs them in the past 5 years, but doesn't have to mean nothing..
imo we will have great problems wit villa&morientes.....who will deal wit them ? it will be a tough choice for Mancio....
but if we play like we do in Serie A, wit the new Adri, and Vieira&Cambi get to know each other think we can go through....
i believe we will

Cordoba Vs Villa
Matrix Vs Morientes
Maicon Vs Vicente :mute:

Personally I say play Burdisso as a full back.

I think we had a reasonable draw, Valencia won't be easy but I think that Chelsea, Lyon or even Man. Utd. wouldn't have been so good.

Valencia has a good team and I think they will be dangerous at the Meazza, they will try to follow Villarreal and score a goal that leaves us exposed for the second half at the Mestalla.

Although I agree that scoring at home is superb, but I think that keeping our net empty is vital. So I think that we should focus in keeping Valencia from scoring as much (if not more) than trying to score ourselves.

I don't see a problem. Valencia isn't as good as many of the other teams we could've drawn.

I'm happy with that! ManU, Lyon and Chelsea would have been the most difficult I believe, their consistency is frightening. Arsenal, Liverpool and Valencia were my preferred teams; although they all have great potential, all three will be much stronger come spring. We are the slightest favourites here I think.

It will be tough, but we can do it.

Champions League is about facing tough opponents and the draw could have been a lot worse. Inter will fear no one. As it is now I see us as small favorites but a lot can happen between now and when the game is played. Maybe the transfer window will turn things around. But no matter what happens Inter will have every chance of progressing to the next round.
