My thought exactly. Didn’t want to say it out loud but it seemed that way throughout the game.

In the side note, we relied too much on individual performance this season compared to the last. I don’t see much movement off the ball like something doesn’t click.
I think we lack urgency in front of goal and in defense too. We get chances; we don't use them. We can defend better but lack that extra effort not to concede chances and goals.

Don't have one.
She’s terrible, missed many body check fouls
She is a token referee for italian fa to get tap on the back for inclusivity. Anyone who knows shit about biology, reacting under pressure and in general emotional stability knows women should be nowhere near a position to be main referees on the highest level.

Didn't give us a penalty so obviously she should never referee again. However, took away Venezia's goal, so overall I think they should give her the Champion's League final.
I don't think that's what he was asking lol

I missed the game but am confused by the comments - was the referee amateur or hardcore?
She did alright, as far as refs go. Let VAR settle some close calls for the offsides and handball decision late.

Wow. How lucky we were. That Busio sub really changed the game. We lost control of the midfield when he came in. Strange to see that Limone didn’t have an answer for that.

Barella and Thuram where really bad. Bisseck also still thrash on the defensive part. Lauti scored the winner, but did nothing besides that.

Should have scored 2/3 goals in the first half tho. Altough Venezia should have scored a minute before half time too. Sommer or de Vrij motm for me!

Marin-Sverko-Inter-Venezia-VAR-goal-1024x654.jpg

DAZN refereeing expert Luca Marelli explained that it was disallowed directly by the VAR without the need for an On-Field Review by referee Maria Sole Ferrieri Caputi because a handling offence directly leading to a goal is automatically punished, whether it is considered to be intentional or not.

As this was an objective ruling confirming the touch on the arm, the VAR could over-rule the goal from the booth.

It is also arguable that Sverko fouled Bisseck by jumping with both arms on his back, but the handling offence is sufficient to disallow the goal.

I think thats a foul 9 times out of 10. We've witnessed fouls inside the box for much less contact. Being in the final seconds, and them entering the pitch celebrating it like its the scudetto took away a bit from the actual contact and the foul. But thank fuck for the VAR this time.

Also, we are suffering from some serious mediocre shit team mentality lately.

Continues our trend of turning American players into world class players against us

wtf was thuram on today btw he alone wasted 3 clearcut chances. i get he wants to score more but you can't be selfish to the point you become a detriment. i really wanted us to beat arsenal but seeing where this team is, i'll take a draw and go all in for a win vs napoli

so basically if Thuram had a smaller foot we would have won without problems. (ridiciolous offside)

Lucky at the end but im done with this defence, it gives me banter era vibes.
