Do you have Inter's financial statements or at least the data from the Moratti era (say something around 2004 or 2008) compared to the latest years with Thohir and Suning?

they are obtainable, but i dont have them to hand

the thing, of course, is that most of the moratti era ones include EL/CL/whatever revenues, and massive 'steady state' losses. Under Thohir, a large part of our losses were incurred by transfer activity rather than just existing, which is a huge transformation for us as a club anyway.

I'm not saying I agreed with every decision Thohir took, and he had a number of failed experiments, but trying to change the direction of a massive ship like Inter, when your abiity tomake money is limited as well, is damn hard.

absolutely. suning have obviously been able to accelerate it, but we've gone from losing a fuck tonne of money under moratti to actually having restructured our club for success and taken the first few steps on that path

anyone who doesnt see it is a moron who has no real world experience of business

i've worked at, or for, several companies now who've had to do similar things, and you always see the same pattern

:)

Its that easy huh. How about watching several of clubs on our level how fast they have been accelerating compared to us. On social media we've been behind every single club out there and its crazy how a club called "Internazionale" couldn't even get some fucking subtitles for their fans.

Atleast the subtitles part is done now.

Like who?

The real comparisons for Inter are probably Milan, Roma, maybe Napoli, Lazio, etc.

You cant compare us to the Premiership - at any level - because of their bargaining power on TV rights. You cant compare us to any Bundesliga club because they've spent the last 15 years overhauling how the league works and are now reaping the success for it.

So, yeah. We've got flaws, but we've got some benefits as well. Inter were pretty much uniquely positioned (along with Serie A) in the 90s and early 00s to be the best league in the world and massively fucked it up. Both from a collective league and local ownership level. It's not easy to undo 20 years of fucking disaster. Look at companies like Sears.

Even shit as small as subtitles - in a proper slow moving enterprise you have to work out which division own the need to subtitle videos, then you need to find staff suitable to do the work, it takes 3 months to go from 'we want something' to 'we've actually hired someone', then probably another 3 months to get them productive.

I cant help but feel like none of you have ever worked in a large scale enterprise before.

So instead of just acting like a little baby throwing a tantrum, where do you disagree and why? Try your best to use your big boy words. Or do you just dislike him because he didn't burn money down an endless blackhole like moratti did? Getting pissed off because our owner isn't a unicorn is some lol shit

If you can't formulate the full argument if you provide the summary I'll even do it for you, rather than resorting to calling me oblivious ignorant etc without any basis for your arguments.

You'll also note I've provided a range of arguments without stooping to insult you or your intelligence. You've yet to try to refute any of them so far and the only thing you can do is try to attack me.

Kinda funny. You should be a juventus supporter. Just saying.

First and foremost if you didn't star with your whole browhadamus notion of predicting things before they happen, I wouldn;t throw a tantrum. Me disliking him was a combination of many things as you could read at your ericks thohir model. You can't expect returns if you don't invest, which was what Thohir was doing. He choose the worst time possible to try "leverage" sponsors in long term deals, he basically sold our commercial rights at a time we could get literally the lowest possible deal.

You on the other hand praised him for doing the re-negotiations and improving our shirt deals and sposnor deal with Nike and Pirelly respectively. And especially increasing revenues. But this came at a long term cost which i wasn't fond of and you were defending. Now we have an owner who can actually pay more money for the shirt sponsorship and we are performing better then we did with Thohir and we have a few marketable players.

However the commitment made by that fucking idiot have made it impossible for us to improve anything. Football as opposed to business in general is a zero-sum game where many compete for the same thing. When you have top teams with hundreds of million dollar deals that end sooner than our deals that thohir extended. Now we are stuck to operate on limited budget and compete with loaded teams for players trophies and what not.

plus if you check the revenue how much it was between erick thohirs and suning youll see the difference. Do not try and use the "out of CHL" argument, as if your lack of investing leads to less revenue, that's just poor strategy and not an excuse.

You assume our new owners can pay more but there's no evidence of that. Wasn't it Chelsea? Or utd? Who recently broke a long yerm shirt sponsorship deal because they coukd sign a new one for a lot more money? If we had thay option available im sure it would be discussed. Look at Milan for fucks sake - we are arguably lucky to still have the same shirt sponsorship.

We are a non Europe club team in to be honest a weak league. Stop comparing us to the likes of United or bayern or Barca. The failings you highlight here stem from the late 90s and Italy as a country as much as any modern stuff.

Don't look at football and see the premiership and what not. Look at it and see, like most industries, consolidation of wealth and competitiveness into diminishing companies (like Amazon etc) and you should look at Inter being a Sears, Blockbuster or Wal-Mart rather than an Amazon, Netflix or Tesla

Tbh one thing that has been really good for me in the last few years are seeing a lot of companies try to do enterprise scale transformation to catch up to those market leaders and exactly how damn hard it is

And I've not disputed the revenue increase suning have given us. Theyre a unicorn for us. But i saw some news on FCIN that millions if not tens of millions of the money we would be landing by sponsorship for last season hasn't showed up because of the new capital regulations - so not so golden after all. I can't rember the article now but it alleged like 15 or 20 mil of the money we booked hadn't actually shown up yet 6 months later.

Suning with their power could buy CR,Messi,Sanchez,Ozil,my grandma from the grave and have a nice 100k dinner after and laugh about it but they can't as DON ET signed a rigid deal with UEFA that prohibits us from spending more than the club makes every single season,so positive zero or else we get punished...sure Suning can invest 30% of our revenue as sponsorship deals...but then we have the Chinese Commie rules...the sponsorship money actually didn't come to us yet I think(browha mentioned it too)which is SHOCKING!

so we need to make good results to get to CL and get some marketing recognition but it's hard to do so with the players we possess tbh...and small squad we have...it's almost a never ending circle...that is hard to get out of,break the chain...that's why FFP doesn't make sense...it favors the rich to stay there and have little or no opposition...booooring shit
PSG and City were fortunate to make it to the big boys leagues...although they were also punished...so that's breaking the rules but they are on top now!
we shot ourselves in the stomach, legs, arms and head after the treble...because MM didn't give a fuck anymore...and i resent him a bit for this...then the sleaze ball ET came and did nothing valuable except sell us to a power house company and demands to be paid out now with a sure gain for his investment, speculating little shit, his sporting project was a disaster if not smth short of that...and now Suning who got spanked by their government tries to make the sporting side of the project...reach CL by all costs again...to get recognition and revenue in EU competitions...making Inter self sufficient is a good idea but it may break so easily if we fail to get the sporting side on it's proper tracks...
can we catch a break for once?!

we have to comply with FFP if we ever get back into Europe - we could be about to see (via Milan) what will happen if you dont have an agreement in place with UEFA..

It's nothing to do with Thohir in that sense - it was gonna happen either way really.

I do agree that, in many ways, FFP doesnt really make sense - you doom everyone to be exactly where they are (effectively).

ultimately we keep failing because of the mess with our inability to build good squads. ET, Suning, etc, have all invested quite decent sums of money into us, we've just failed to translate this to good teams with sporting success.

Is it possible to say FUCKU to ffp and start buying anything and just focus on Serie A. Win everything and not be in European competitions?

Technically, yes, but there's so much money to be made out of European competitions I dont know why anyone would ever do it. FFP doesnt limit our ability to do stuff within Serie A, but it does mean that we end up in the situation like a few seasons ago where we couldnt register Kdog.

Spaletti is worried we might lose players instead of reinforcing or for reinforcing which makes u feel the situation is shittier than it appears on the outside...

I suspect the capital restrictions have really fucked us.

Its possible we might be looking at another ownership change in the short to medium term tbh.

Spallo was full troll mode on with the bitch who asked him stupid mercato questions...She kept asking him which trequartista he prefers and similar questions he never rly reveals...he was laughing when he said that he will bring his players home with him so they aren't sold...and will hide the transfer papers of his players and...

didn't look like he was seriously worried that our best players will be sold from the body language and mimic...

Gabigol, Joao Mario and Dalbert deals look really horrible now. So much capital used to these investments with almost zero returns. JM has at least played for the club for about an year. Not so much for this year's success though. Other two have contributed almost nothing.

This is the thing. Over 100 million spend in JM, KDog and Barbossa. Joao Mario is the only one who looked like a good player and maybe worth of the transfer value till this season started. Gabigol and Kondogbia were horrible signings. There is always a risk in transfers but I don't know where they get these ideas.

Yeah every club makes some bad signings here and there, but it's really a problem when 90% of your transfers are total trash. Only Milan have reached this level of failure.
