I'll say this...pray we ge to CL
Not just direct money from UEFA but from all sectors...more money from Pirelli,Nike, commercial revenue from new potential sponsors that could rise higher even
TV broadcast money from the extra games, gate revenue...

Sorry if this is not a place for this, I don't follow this thread normally. Is someone familiar with both Inter Financial Situation and I think crucially with FPP rules would tell me if from a theoretical perspective it would be possible for Inter to:
-Buy Cancelo
-Buy Rafinha
-Buy a 60M player
-Pay and collect other obligations (Gagliardini etc.)
-Have around 30M for other players
and then balance it back with sale of let's say Joao Mario for 30 and e.g. Brzozovic for another 30 and Valencia buys Kongdobia. Asking because a friend says it's possible and from what I understand not really.

Not really...

Lets just say, on that there, you're talking like 180 million euros. If everyone's on a 5 year contract, then that's already 36 million a year amoritsation let alone contract wages... If we take it up to 50 million a year including wages probably a reasonable estimate

We would need to get *profit* from some level of sales just to cover that season to offset that. JM + Kong probably are 15 mil a season of loss each, so if we sold them cost neutral then that would give us 30 mil, but we would then need to raise 20 mil profit. That could be done by selling Brozovic, for example, possibly, but then we would need to raise another 20 mil profit the next year, and the year after, etc.

It puts us in a horrendous selling position for a while just to cover our situation. That's why its crucial we dont spend more than we earn, so we dont have 'exposure'

We need CL or this year was a complete waste. Must ride the momentum of Suning's good work to get the club back on track money wise.

The easy answer is that if we qualify for the CL, then yes. CL qualification gets us somewhere between €50-100m. So all the above is possible within FFP, even more if Suning feel like investing. Additionally, selling someone like Brozovic for 20-30m could free up money for another major buy (60m+ transfer). From a sustainable perspective, CL qualification would mean Suning can exploit more opportunities for commercial revenue (sponsorships, etc) giving us a bigger base for the future.

If we don't qualify for the CL, then no. Suning will probably not invest for similar reasons as last summer. Which probably means we will send at least one of Cancelo or Rafinha back. You are looking at a summer similar to last one, with a few players transfers funded by a few sales.

is this chart right?
I mean, considering how much succes Juve have had lately, I’m pleasantly surprised we almost getting as much as they do.
Hmmm

That's just tv money. Their total revenues are much higher. Champions League could rectify this but they still get much more from their stadium.

Hmmm

It is not official (unlike other Countries like England, serie A never discloses these numbers), but certainly very close to it. The numbers of "tifosi" (supporters) for instance is calculated on the basis of three factors, only one of those being known, the number of supporters at the stadium: the other two factors, the overall number of supporters who spend and the supporters who don't spend in the club's products, has never been disclosed

Inter have spent less money on assembling our squad than Crystal Palace or Southampton.

I am assuming this does not include Mario, Gabigol and Kondogbia misadventures as they are out on loan. Still, this does show that to reach the top, we need to spend a bit more.

Not necessarily. Napoli have spent less than Inter and they're currently at the top of the table. Even though spending money usually helps, spending money wisely is more important. I think that was our main issue in the latest years. We didn't spend money wisely.

Be careful what you wish for, I'm sure he'll come crawling out of his mom's basement once they beat us in a few weeks

Next season CL prize money, according to "Mundo Deportivo":
Group stage spot - 15M.
A draw at GS - 900K.
A win - 2.7M.
Reaching round of 16 - 9.5M.
Quarter finals - 10.M.
Semi final - 12M.
Finalist - 15M.
Winner - 19M.

If it have been this season, Roma would have gotten 45M. That's big money, and we need this money. We must get to CL!
