So, we will let go all of our optional buys again this season?

Vrsaljko out, Darmian in. Either way D'Ambrosio will start next season though, of course.

Did we even spend much this summer? What are we trying to make up for

There must be a clause in our agreement with UEFA that requires a certain amount of capital gains. That's the only reasonable explanation. Our net spend in this fiscal year must be around 30m (Lautaro+ loans of Vrsaljko and Keita).

Very interesting numbers. Basically Juve earn €53 per ticket sold, while Inter only earn €32 per ticket. This is largely down to Juve having their own stadium with a higher percentage of expensive seating. Once Inter can modernise San Siro, there is a good chance our ticket revenues will go up almost 3 fold to around €100m due to:

- Higher average ticket cost (as above) say €55 to €60 per ticket.
- Slightly higher average attendance due to better facilities, say 60,000 to 65,000 per game
- More CL games which means more money, Inter could play around 25 to 29 games per season at San Siro

The above relates to gate receipt revenue ranging between €83m to €113m. The potential is amazing, we need to do up San Siro asap.

Increasing the ticket price will reduce the number of attendance (you could still earn more, yes, due to higher earning per ticket)
Better facility will attract more attendance.

The actual attendance number will be a compromise between those two. I doubt it will reach 65000, as it is the new maximum capacity of the new stadium, not 80000 anymore.

you're assuming price elasticity of a static product. The product isnt static, though. A refurbished stadium with better matchday facilities, etc, could well increase attendance. It isnt a forgone conclusion.

Stadium capacity needs to be at around 68-72k.

If we keep bringing up 60k against the Frosinones and Chievos, we can expect at least 3k travelling fans of more sizeable clubs and a rise from our fans' interest in bigger games. Surely a hike in pricing could influence things, but as H said, it's not really easy to account for it. There's no data to back this statement up, nor to refute it.

Yeah, that sounds logical but it doesn't work like that, coz:

1. The increase in average ticket cost is largely due to bigger percentage of expensive/corporate seats. The price of the common tickets does not increase by much.

2. Which means the average attendance will increase if the stadium is improved, as more families are likely to make that trip to a modern stadium. 60-65k attendance should be easily possible, we are already at that ballpark.

Just look at the Juve example, since they got their stadium they have more than doubled the average price and their attendance is up by about 80-90% as well.

You make that sound easy. As if there are numerous clubs lining up to take him off our hands.

Unfortunately for Inter, Barbosa really being a Shit Cunt is so well documented that the whole world now knows about it.

Fuck that shit. I paid 80 euros for a seat in the third tier for Inter-Barca it's enough.

I don't think the club should take advantage of its fans, increasing corporate seating is one thing but just giving a middle finger to your own fans and increasing their prices is another.

So Inter today are presenting their 17-18 FY figures as well as plans for 18-19FY, explaining the reason why the revenues from China aren't yet fully paid because of restrictions.

40-50 mln capital gain before 30th June is a must and then from 1st of July Inter gets a freedom from settlement agreement. Personally I think that this figure is a bit elevated, but even so, Skriniar-like operation is still possible. We can sell Perisic in June and get Martial (for instance) in July, thus registering full profit and capital gain in June before the end of financial year. Same for Candreva, I wonder whether we can make a deal with Sampdoria for Andersen, paying with Candreva+10 mln.

That being said, I am now a bit doubtful on all these loans. Vrsaljko and Politano must be redeemed by 30th of June- i.e. the expenses would fall onto 2018-19 financial year. Will we even exercise those options?

We also have the option of Salcedo (15m) who plays for our primavera. People tend to forget him. I think we'll certainly activate the option of Politano. Sassuolo, of all teams, would never give us Politano at the expense of a youngster if his redemption wasn't guaranteed. As for the others, it will depend on how much we can earn from sales (apart from obviously how they perform).

The fuck is this bullshit. We'll be the only club required to make €50m every fucking year until the next ice age :palm:

Well, ice age starts in July and you gotta be thankful to UEFA and super legit Settlement Agreement not allowing to cover player purchases by revenues and only by sales. This is downright insane.

I hope Milan will get same treatment, let's see whether Leo can fit Ausilio's boots.
