our top 5 midfielders are on like an average of 6m a year between them, we have some very high salaries.

we spend just 6m a year less than juve on salaries, but they make like 50m a season more than we do

That's just the cost of trying to maintain a title-contending side. If you want to suggest that the club is spending beyond their comfortable means, that's its own argument, but I'd have a hard time disagreeing that further payroll reductions at this point wouldn't also strongly indicate that they're no longer able to support a team with Scudetto ambitions either. "Our five midfielders average 6m", we're playing a minimum of 48 games from August through June, more than that if we advance in the Coppa Italia or Champions League. More than half our schedule is 2-game weeks. We need whatever depth we can get. We got lucky as hell last season that we basically never got any critical injuries happening at the same time as each other...Pavard, Lautaro, Thuram, De Vrij, Bastoni, Acerbi all missed time at various stages, but there was basically no overlap. Mkhitaryan's at the age where his performance could fall off the cliff at any time. We can't afford to have total jokers on the bench, I'm happy enough that some of the deadweight has already been cut with Sensi and Klaasen and such but while Correa and Arnautovic are still on our books there's still work to do there.

i think we should follow gold rule of wages to revenue on 50%

our wage bill is still too big for a 400 mil team

i understand that zielinski-calha-barella should earn good money but the next 2 midfielders should be young on low wages, asllani and some young player

the 6th midfielder shuld be some cheap shitter

my point is that if we could take, say, 1-1.5m off of every player's wage, put it into bonuses based on seasonal performance, that'd give us a lot more breathing room. Comparatively small part of our wage structure is around bonuses - like the top guys get maybe 1-1.5m extra on bonuses which will be like, win the CL, win the league...

They need to put more skin in the game, they really win when inter really wins.

The reason we cant afford to manouver on the market is because we have quite a hefty salary bill for our revenue. And the latest round of renewals will make things worse too.

Only 50m? They had 9 years of Serie A domination, consistent participation in CL, made 2 finals, also owns a stadium and sponsored by a related party. If all of these only translate to 50m/y advantage, I don't even see the point of trying.

Okay, let's see

Barella 6.5
Hakan 6.5
Mkhitaryan 3.5 (with Growth decree so the cost is lower for the club)
Frattesi 3
Zielinski 4.5

Average of that is not 6, but slightly under 5.

This is some "in your dreams" stuff. It's not going to happen anymore. We need to increase our revenues, not try to shave off our salaries anymore, because that would mean shaving off the quality.

What's the point of being able to do manoeuvres in the market if we can't then pay proper salaries to the players? The players we could get from the market wouldn't be players who could defend the title and fight in the CL.

We have built a great squad, around Lautaro, Barella, Hakan, Bastoni and all the guys. They deserve their fair salaries, they could get even more elsewhere but we pay them enough so that they don't even think about leaving (and these guys don't only think about money). Breaking this core would throw us back few years, since we've worked long and hard to get to the team to this level. What you are suggesting is basically breaking the core, since it's not like they start taking paycuts with some bonus programs.

We can afford this if our ownership is fine with it. If they allow losses, diminishing ones each year since our revenues keep growing, it's going to be fine. Maybe some single player sales to offset some losses but nothing drastic.

Issue is tripling wages the second they come here

Fratessi should not be 3m until he proved it here. For bench option that’s way to much

Then a shit player like Dumfries wants 7 haha. We will offer him 4 that is more than DiMarco who like the 3rd or 4th best player on this team! That’s were we are fkd

I get Zielinski was free but 4.5m for a guy who isn’t going to start is crazy. That makes sense only if Hakan is sold

That's just the way it goes. We are Inter, not some fucking cheap ass Milan.

And Dumfries is not asking 7m, was asking 5m but is about to accept our 4m renewal deal. Dimarco makes that same number (dunno about bonuses which we are offering to Dumfries).

How many of them came here on a free transfer? How much more quality do we hav than jube atm? Like who out of those 5 is overpaid?
Mater of fact who in our team is grossly overpaid? Cuadrado, sensi and?
Again that bonus thing is not gonna happen to the extent you want it to..... and we re already dong this
You cant just go around and only offer competitive salaries if the players reach the goals and expect to sign or keep top players.
I d argue that as is we have a lot of players who could probably earn more elsewhere if they waned out Barella/Hakan/Dimarco/Lauti/Bastoni and probably Pavard...

Just dont see how we stay competitive and more than one injury away from our season being fucked if we cut down wages significantly remember most of our big players are up for renewals and wil get more than they do now. One of our biggest weakness last season was our bench and we probably cant adress that while lowering the wage bill.

“We are thrilled to announce this upgraded partnership with Qatar Airways, which is a reflection of how successful our relationship was last season. During our first year together, Qatar Airways became fully integrated within the Inter family, sharing the joy of our Scudetto triumph and running a series of unique initiatives for our fans. As our Official Main Training Kit Partner, Qatar Airways will now become an even more integral part of our club, accompanying our players in every training session and enjoying global visibility during the team’s pre-match warm-ups. We hope to be able to achieve new and exciting goals with Qatar Airways.” - Alessandro Antonello
Well done getting more money from Qatar Airways
“The Qatar Airways logo will now be prominently featured on all training apparel and warm-up jerseys at all competitions, including Serie A, Coppa Italia, UEFA Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup 2025™. The expanded partnership extends across all teams, including Inter Women and the Inter youth sector, and encompasses all business units from the existing Qatar Airways agreement, including Hamad International Airport. "
I won't pay for Emirates again.

I think new owners are on the horizon which will see big spending in the winter transfer, we already made some nice moves this window.

I dont. I reckon everything is being set up for a couple of seasons of ownership under Oaktree. Could well be wrong, pure uninformed speculation from me
