Suning probably want to keep hold of the club till they have an agreement with city council over new Meazza. The stadium project is the only reason a fund would offer anything close to Suning asking price for the club.

Not the greatest source but according to Calciomercato.com, PIF still interested in Inter but want assurances the new stadium project has the go-ahead before they are prepared to complete the takeover of Inter.

PIF are not interested in buying Inter now, but the rumours here are that they may be interested in buying Martinez and Skriniar for Newcastle. Fucking Suning don't want to sell a club they cannot afford, but I'm sure they will be ok in selling our best players.

Fuck Suning.
"will be ok"? Sorry, Suning's "ambitous" was already clear when they sold our only world-class player, at 22 years of age, for fucking 25m profit.

And people here are still excusing that was reasonable :lol: They don't realize the type of deals we are making looks like crawling back to the Thohir-era.

According to that article, Steven is waiting desperately to get a yes from the local govt. for the new stadium project. Once the project gets the go-ahead, Steven will try to sell Inter at 1 billion euros or more. PIF has recently initiated talks with Steven. But they want the assurance about the new stadium project. Sala (mayor of Milan) is, however, concerned about the owner risk at Inter, and wants that issue to be resolved first.

Sorry, who said it was reasonable? The whole forum was devastated at that deal. You might have mistaken it with Lukakus sale

Don't have one.
Rumor is probably bullshit, but wouldn't the same owner be a problem if we meet in cl.

And btw these rich fucks don't need any kind of assurances, if they want to buy us they will piss all over zhang and city of milan.

  • The Zhang’s don’t want to sell because they haven’t received their asking price;
  • They haven’t received their asking price because they are overvaluating the club;
  • They are overvaluating the club because they appear to have spent more than they can sell. They probably want to break even or see a return on investment or maybe sustain a minimal loss;
If we can agree on the above than we can speculate what may happen next.

I don't want to call personally but there were (and still, are) ones who support every Suning decision. Trust me, I remember because I was involved heavily in that debate. "Hakimi is a good deal because we have made a profit eventually", they said :lol:

There's already a precedence for that. Salzburg and Leipzig got permission to compete in the 17/18 CL and on.

For the way things go in Italia, the stadium "project" will be dragged on for another decade. Just remember Moratti wanted it done more than a decade ago? And AS Roma new stadium was supposed to be opened 2 seasons ago? Where did all those projects go?!

Now after all those years of waiting for a new stadium we're talking about a new San Siro for both Milanese club, not our own stadium! Personally I don't mind if it collapses for good. Either build a stadium for Inter only or stick to San Siro for another 100 years.

It sums it perfectly. Sadly for us no one in his right mind is going to spend 1 billion to buy Inter.

The Zhangs will likely do what many businesses do when they cannot get their asking price. They will sell their biggest assets and then get what they can from the rest.

Some members here will come back and say that from an accounting perspective this changes nothing, since Lukaku a capital asset- was accounted for in the asking price. But if Lukaku was accounted for 80 million and the Zhangs turn around and sell him for 115 million, they sold above valuation. Some will say ok they received 115 million but not all was paid up-front. True, but that’s also accounted for as receivables- amounts coming in from sale/ revenue. Receivables for valuation purposes are usually matched dollar for dollar unless there is a risk in recouping the amount.

They do this enough times and the valuation price will become more reconciled with valuations of prospective purchasers.

Currently, Bastoni, Barella, Lautaro, Skriniar can be sold for above valuation price.

This is the biggest problem, and not the asking price, I'm afraid.
It’s more preferable to have an owner with modest but ambitious goals than one who is virtually bankrupt and is more preoccupied with bigger issues.
